Personally I will say it absolutely will do all those things mentioned at the start for some... in 2- 5 hour bursts depending on consumption method dossage etc. I feel better if I take a multi-vitamin daily. for instance... Kanna feels more like a reset of brain chemistry or something... It's no miracle, but noticeable, and positive ( at least in the short term, will have to see). I think of it as ashwaganda x 1000.

I definitely have not noticed an increase in cognitive abilities. I’m a full time college student so it would be relatively easy for me to have noticed such benefits. However, I first tried it in the exact pre workout you show in your thumbnail. A classmate of mine who I go to the gym with let me try it and it had a similar yfeeling to if you workout stoned: feeling very connected to your body. Like I was able to focus on every little movement of my muscles and how they connect to a muscle group without the lazy feeling that comes from getting high. But what REALLY got me interested in it was how negative self talk washed away, I was socializing with everyone in the gym and connecting with people without any doubts in my head. I have social anxiety and even though I don’t think I’m a depressed sad sack, I have to fight very hard to keep negative thoughts out my mind and be happy. With Kanna, it was like I didn’t have to push thoughts to the back of my mind and force myself to be happy and interact and risk take, it was a natural normal thing.

Just need to point out Traditional knowledge is not anecdotal evidence. It's observational evidence over thousands of years, not "my bro took it once and it worked"

kanna absolutely has very potent effects on anxiety and depression. these studies were done with 25-50mg of zembrin which is a 2:1 extract standardized to contain a lower proportion of the most psychoactive alkaloid, mesembrine. in south africa it is used medically but in much higher doses than the 25-50mg of zembrin you see in these studies. they were done to prove the safety of zembrin and get it on the market. it would absolutely be much more obviously effective if used at higher doses. it works way better for me for both anxiety and depression than 100mg of daily sertraline (zoloft) ever did. even the raw plant when grown well and harvested properly can be more potent in terms of alkaloid percentage than zembrin. other extracts like mt55 are much more effective and given that mesembrine is the major alkaloid in the actual plant, i believe they are probably closer to the alkaloid profile of a good quality kanna plant. the khoi and san people who use it will sometimes stuff their cheeks with it, the dose involved in that would be many times higher than you get from zembrin.

Weird. I tried 2 x 30mg gummies at the same time, didn't really get anything out if it. I guess it's more subtle. But I didn't even get a mild "buzz".

Alot the extracts out there are actually of a different plant. But kanna is wonderful drug to use in place of caffine, anti depressants or adhd med. Fuck society for brain washing everyone to think just because its a drug and you use it you are a junkie or drug addict those are brainwashed sheep. Every one forgets caffine is a drug so is nicotine and alcohol. Kanna just one the better safer less addictive more therapeutic drugs out there that have so many benfits and little side effects comparatively too caffine and perscription stimulants.

Try and look for MT-55 kanna extract there alot of bunk stiff out there using a plant that is similar and has some of the active compounds in kanna its usually weaker and less stimulating. But the are extracts the more anxiety reducing and calming due to the range of alkaloids in kanna.

good video. I’d love to see with research with those on the spectrum. I purchased a small amount during the adderall shortage and used i started replacing my lacroix with a caffeinated alternative (which i usually abstain from tho do consume the occasional coke) and it kept me pretty focused. i don’t know if it’s a straight up amphetamine replacement but i think for my long term health i need to look else where.

I think the problem with the scientific research here is how it's done on healthy people.. because most people who speak of the effects being actually beneficial, are people with mental health issues 😁

The fact that it doesn't have a significant effect on cognition is actually a good thing! IF you feel good after taking it, at least you don't have to worry that it will affect you negatively, in contrast to stuff like THC.
