I mixed a Holbein watercolor phthalo green blue shade with pyrrole rubin and the resulting mix was purple. That was VERY unexpected.
ОтветитьMy favorite purples are made with Viridiana green so I always use it!
ОтветитьPISS-a-ro??! 😳
ОтветитьI would have loved to have a small course about colors and their history in architecture school
ОтветитьAwesome😊
ОтветитьErm, it's "Pi-SARR-o," as opposed to, "PISS-a-ro." Just sayin' 👍
ОтветитьI love Viridian, it's one of my favourite colours
ОтветитьOk but she sounds like Cunk so why should I believe her?
ОтветитьI normally watch these videos and think "Wow, that was really interesting information." However, this time I thought "Gosh, her hair is beautiful when it’s down."
ОтветитьAs a person who admires art and feels she.has an eye.for it but cant even draw a stick figure...these are so very interesting videos
ОтветитьWhat happened to the dots under your eyes
ОтветитьThis is my favourite way to make purple! I also use pthalo turquoise and emerald green in the same way, always mixing with magenta.
ОтветитьI use a red, yellow, and blue along with white and sometimes black to mix my own custom colors because I like the look of a limited palette, but I’ll switch up one of the primaries at times and it’s amazing how switching the KIND of blue/etc. you use totally changes the look of an entire painting. It would be great fun to switch my blue out for Veridian to see what happens!
ОтветитьI gotta say, I love the effort you put in to pronouncing Van Gogh correctly. You're really close and should be proud of yourself ^-^
ОтветитьYes!!! I have come across a wonderful Mir palette, and I was so delighted and happy to see this mixture. I have been using it excessively since!
ОтветитьViridian is actually one of the names i considered going by for a while. It's a beautiful color.
ОтветитьMakes me want to go get Veridian green, and that magenta that you mentioned, just to make swatches. I want a page with those beautiful violets and teals.
ОтветитьHow am I today years old and have just discovered your work here?
ОтветитьColor me green
ОтветитьSo helpful. I always wondered why mixing red and blue usually doesn't give the shades of violet I'd aim for.
ОтветитьIs this an AI? Or a real person? I hate that it's hard to tell. I want her to be real
ОтветитьWow I am going to try this out!
ОтветитьViridian green and that quinacrodone magenta are two of the most beautifully striking colours in my opinion, those swatches at the end are stunning.
ОтветитьViridian is such a gorgeous paint to work with
ETA. quinacridone magenta is also in my palette and I love working with them both together.
Even though they are shorts, these presentations are fascinating and educational.
ОтветитьI love this series
ОтветитьThank you!

Wow, I would never have guessed this. Some colour mixes are so surprising. I once tried mixing Pebeo's Neon Pink with Golden's Olive Gold and I ended up with a bright Turmeric Yellow!
ОтветитьOh. Thank you
ОтветитьI love these videos ❤
Ответить“Blue- green. Hydrated chromic oxide. Remember, I was schooled in chemistry. I was a hair analyst… briefly.”
- Otho, Beetlejuice
Yes, this is my favourite mix to get rich purples. It redeemed viridian for me, as I'm found it somewhat useless before
ОтветитьEnjoy listening to you , thks ❤
ОтветитьThose two colours seem to come up with every colour I like!
ОтветитьThats good shit. Keep it coming!
ОтветитьI didn't, and I learn't something new today. The mixed shades are beautiful, indeed!
ОтветитьInformative and fascinating. Thank you.
