The song was written by Kenes Duisekeev, a beloved music teacher of Dimash, who died last year of Covid.. Dimash's singing of the song serves as memorial for this man.. that is why he doesnt play the piano.. and why the pianist leaves near the end, symbolic of his passing away..

This is Kazakh language. Dimash is telling the story. This song was written by Kenes Duisekeev, Dimash's mento/teacher/friend who died from Covid. The song is about a father talking to his daughter. She is now grown and will be leaving to live her life. He is sad at her leaving and happy for her at the same time. He wonders what lies ahead for her. This is very personal for Dimash and he is singing the part of the father and the woman on the piano symbolizes the daughter who then leaves at the end. Dimash also sang this as a tribute to his friend's passing. Very emotional and I cry when I hear it.

I understood this performance in such a way that it was for us, the audience, who tried to show the visual embodiment of a person's dream. We see a virtual cube with walls of their smoke that limit the space. With the beginning and development of the song, we gradually begin to guess that, probably, the Hero lost, most likely, forever a loved one. Grand piano. The girl plays the beautiful music of their happy life together. Dimash with a tear, with different intonations, with different volumes turns many times to the girl "My dear " ("Karagym ai"), but the girlfriend is only in his imagination. She really disappears from the Hero's imagination at the end of the song.. Dimash sits down at an empty grand piano, but could not touch the keys. He couldn't play the love music they played together alone.. In my opinion, great drama, just brilliant. Maybe other viewers understood the plot of this song differently.

Qaragym Ai pronounced kara-gim (guttural GH) aye (as a long I). He did pronounce it multiple times in the song. The song is sung in the Kazakh language.

I’ve heard Dimash sing this once before and know basically what it’s about but don’t know all of the words. The emotion that comes from Dimash just makes me cry. I don’t need to know every word. Because Dimash sings in so many languages, I often don’t know what the words mean. But Dimash can bring the meaning right to you with the emotion he shows when he sings. Of course I can then look for the translation. I don’t know of any singer in my lifetime or before me, who can do what Dimash does. That’s 76 years of listening to singers. I enjoy watching you discover Dimash. Bev
