Pete Rose and Shoeless Joe Jackson had to die in order to reverse their ban.

Now the Saints have a QB room with a lot of potential. Unlike the last two years and unlike the last 3 years under Payton when Brees was in decline. They now have three guys that have a lot of developmental potential. But we shall see how they do in the first seven games.

It's a harmless enough lark on which to go. Undrafted free agents can be dropped without real consequences. There's no real story here. If he's a bust, he'll be dropped immediately without a problem. If he thrives, the Saints get a cheap starting quarterback who might get them to the playoffs for peanuts.

I consider myself only a saints fan even tho I watch a couple dozen games every weekend of collage and NFL. ESPN, independent media, Nola dot football. FOTF etc. this guy played multiple years in a big 12 conference. Did you not notice his big head 3 years ago? When we were all laughing about it when he came outta high school . To a person that knows ball the square head jokes sound old and repetitive. I scouted girlfriends for deckks homeboy that talked him into Iowa unintentionally. I know balI, I know Kellen is trying to find lines that penetrate no pause. Learn your game. And if your gonna mention having to go to jr college. Mention Alvin after his stay with Alabama and having to go to CoMU. (We called it it CoMu but yeah.. )

Getting back to a point you made earlier in the video. Matt Campbell is a fantastic coach. He's going places.

He threw a lot of picks, so that's something he has to clean up, but dude has talent for sure. Dan Marino threw a lot of picks in college, too. I can think of one lefty that did very well in the NFL, got into the Hall of Fame -- Steve Young. There are probably lots of other examples. It's not something I've really paid a ton of attention to.

On players betting for their own team to win, no, don't allow that. There is incentive to throw games to push up the odds on other games if you allow that. There is speculation Pete Rose was putting his ace closer out there in games he was losing just in case they could make a comeback because that was a game he cared more about (having bet on it) than the next game where they might have a better shot at winning if the closer is available. Or maybe he would save the ace closer for the next game because he money on it. You just can't allow any kind of betting either for or against their own teams. Don't even allow betting on the same league.

i don't see much separation between Shuck and Dekkers. Spencer will win out he's just too good. I'd like to give Jake Haener some credit. I give him credit just for showing up and fighting for a job. what he went through last year would have broken alot of guys. If a year 3 Jake Haener shows up motivated to play he may be sharp enough to make it hard on Shuck and Dekkers to move up the depth chart. I do like Shuck and Dekkers, i think they both look like good quality young kids with a high ceiling and like you said, we've got salary cap issues and they're cheap. cheap and good quality i'll give mickey and kellen credit filling up the QB room with two good young arms

Unpopular opinion: our Qb room is filled with guys who have everything to prove, and each of them have tools that make them dangerous. I think this is going to be a very interesting qb race and whoever comes out with qb1 will have a fire that the fans are gonna love regardless of which one it ends up being

At least he saw the wide open receiver, carr missed that quite a bit. His other highlight tape is way better also. I dont beleave he wins the starting job , but he will make the qb competition a lot better and is only 23 and he will beat out hanier and who knows from there the skys the limit. One thing for sure hes on the team now and with football be takin away from him, he will bust his ass trying to make sure it doesn't happen again. I said it the day we signed him, watch out for this guy, i believe he will make his presence felt. With the right coach and some time , could be the best udfa in saints history. Yeah i no optimistic.
