A Minimalist Wallet I Actually Like...

Hey I am a family friend of saddle back and chamberlain leather milk I worked there for years and lived with the owners when I was a kid if you reach out to me I can get you a little care package with there small wallet

I really want a Ridge wallet, but not for the price they're often selling for.

Cash is king.
Long story short.
I who's in shopping last weekend and Internet came down in the shop that effected ATM's too.
And I who's only person who got with his stuff from the store because of emergency cash in my wallet.
I who's also surprised how many people didn't have money on them. Not even people with 2 or 3 items.

So honestly I just use Google pay. And like let's say there's two different establishments that offer the same product and one of them takes Google pay to where I can tap with my phone another one doesn't I'll go to the one that takes it. It's much more secure and honestly recently it saved me. My card numbers got stolen but the transaction did not go through and so I just had to wait for a new card. I mean yes it was still a pain but it wasn't as much of a pain as if they would have taken a couple hundred dollars out of my account that I would have had to get back. If I have to go to an establishment that does not take Google pay I will simply use cash. But honestly with delivery apps and everything that is such a rarity. And since we're on the subject pretty much my phone and some self-defense weapon currently it's a can of pepper spray. That's all I carry for my edc. Sometimes I'll mix it up maybe a knife or expandable baton instead of pepper spray but right now it's pepper spray.

The average price of a Big Mac in America is $5.93! I thought that was funny cuz you put $5. Bucks in the wallet for demonstration purposes… 😏

The best minimalist wallet for me is just a traditional leather bi-fold. Ive stopped carrying change & dont usually carry much cash. Mine is from Sonnenleder & its been aging very nicely, best quality leather Ive had.

If you have two cards in that outside card slot it would slide a lot easier.

I have a simple bourbon leather 8 card bi-fold. Folding cash is carried separate with a brass money clip. Change held in a small leather zippered pouch. Organized and easy to manage minimally slip in the pockets.

My advice l hate wallets.
I try to keep my cards in my wallet as few as possible.
How?
I have CURVE CARD.
I wear Garmin watch Andi phone so l have all my cards with CURVE CARD.
l only carry one credit card in my wallet in case all was wrong....

Even vehicle license is in my phone

To summary in my wallet is only one credit card and my ID card and some bills

My favorite wallet was the county comm that you could zip together

My mother would sow a sock on the inside of the waist band of my Pop's sweat pants so he could have a place to put his wallet. He's key's he would just stick them in his waist band. I thought not a bad idea to sow a sock or a pocket inside of sweat pants so you can carry stuff.
Now day's they do sale sweat pants with pockets because that normal wear these day's are Jim clothing. Something high school student's would wear for "PE" class.
I do make my own short pants just hack the height I want and hem and sow them up. I usually do that with my old jeans. Or Walmart $11 jeans.

I have a very similar wallet to your minimalist. The only difference is the front has a pressed skull instead of the extra card slot. After using it for more than six months, I can say it is my new favorite wallet. It's light, doesn't weigh down the pants, and it is easy to get things in/out.

I'm still rocking a big skinny wallet that I bought when you made a video on it

I carry a gun deck mini from open sea leather

I spent about 8 quid on my wallet over 10 years ago it's so robust and exactly what I need ild find it hard to replace and tbh I would alot for one prices are ridiculous

i've been looking for a decent wallet for awhile and nothing meets my standards i think i'm going to have to make one which is honestly sad to say since regular wallets are too big and clunky and minimalist wallets are too small, and non of them have a safety latch on them to hook a chain to since pick pocketing is writhe here in the UK. its sad theres no wallet thats like that.

I put a tiny bit of baby powder in my wallet where the cards go and they slide out very easy.

Speakeasy leather d'avella is my personal favorite minimilist wallet. Handmade leather, 6-8 cards and 5-7 folded bills

The only design choice here that I don’t like is plastic on the ID window. That plastic will get old and gross while the rest of the wallet still look amazing.

I like that wallet... about the flappy bit that sticks out, could you not stick a card most of the way in then just grip the card and pull it out, would that not leave the bit in? Plus it would be good if the metal bit that pulls out doubled as a pen.

It’s cool and all but in comparison to just a bi-fold from Walmart… not really that much smaller or more “minimal” maybe 1/2 the size or so… but overall you’re not saving much space or weight… idk maybe I don’t understand

Imo, that wallet is trash. A pull tab a is a failure point not to mention the wallet is no longer sleek. When you slide you wallet in your pants there's a possibility that it'll catch the tab and pull your cards out. Using a finger nail to slide a card out? Give me break. The money clip is another thing that can fail or be lost over time. Also, I'd rather not flash how much or how little cash I have every time I open my wallet.

I have similar wallet situation as you. I have a very nice wallet from Louis Vuitton that was limited edition with a dragon pattern, as I was born in the year of the Dragon, given to me by a best friend who has since left this earth. I don’t carry it anymore as I don’t want it to be stolen.

I used a Ridge carbon fiber wallet for a while then went to recycled fire hose bi-fold, then back to the Ridge an now (today 2 sept 23) back to the fire hose.

I had one of those from zero foxtrox with the integrated clip and card dealer... i liked it at first the clip is more of a gimmick than anything else and not super secure. Currently using the Rustic Heirloom "hitchhiker" and it blows everything else away.
