Main 3 tips:
1) Optimize your wave clear and focus on wave management. You can trade into other offlaners, but it's not worthwhile to constantly do so. You can splash a lot of free damage, but you shouldn't be running OOM because you're focused on trading AND clearing the wave.

2) Your primary engage is the oil. It's a ranged 50% slow that lasts for 5sec on the ground. Get good at landing it and your team will be able to engage upon them or you can land guaranteed E's. Jet Propulsion is best done out of bushes or with setup. You can land ones on telegraphed moves or overextended people, but jamming it into prepared opponents is asking to die or lose 80% of your life for free.

3) Either live near your backline and support them with peel/Bunker or dive together with the Blaze. Those are the best two options since Oil allows you to peel/engage from range. Otherwise Blaze post-13 is typically played as a flanker or bush party hero where you largely stay out of vision and look for Oil-E-AA-Q. That's 1000+ dmg and a stun... and that damage scales. You can basically output Diablo level damage with less setup with Collision Course.

The biggest difference between the two play styles (imo) is just how aggressively you plan on using Bunker. It's going to be far more of an Ice Block if you play as a flanker and that needs to be understood by the team. If they want you near them as a save tool, that needs to be clearly communicated by them. You don't have a instant teleport ala Tyrael to reposition and save them if they ran opposite from you.
