ОтветитьGoa does seem like a good and relaxing place to choose as one of the last states to go to after spending months in India! Unfortunate that Steph's health deteriorated, though. Glad you guys could still explore Goa and Goan food. I am a happy vegan now but have enjoyed a lot of bibique in Goa during trips in the past, so seeing bibique brought back great memories, thank you!!! :) Was this the last India video for now, I guess? :)

ОтветитьIs beef legal in goa?
ОтветитьIts fabulous to watch you guys..did your little lad taste a bite of the Choriz pao? He's gonna be a global citizen..Hope your stomachs hold up while in India
ОтветитьGoan food is totally incomplete without a wholesome seafood thali ... I'm surprised no one recommended that to you .. Especially Martin's corner, where you guys went is a seafood heaven !!!
ОтветитьPortuguese where VERY evil
ОтветитьI am from Goa and i have to say that there is so much more to Goan food than the beef cutlets and the pork sorpotel (although these are the popular favorites) It's a coastal state so there's a wealth of seafood like calamari, prawns, crabs, lobster, shellfish. Try a fish thali at Stomach in Mapusa. Even though choriz pao is a novel snack and very popular with tourists, you have to keep in mind the spice content of most dishes. Goan sweets are some of the most unique in India. Bebinca, dodol batika, bolinhas, kulkuls, neuris are just some of them. Mr. Bakers in Panjim and New Market in Margao have some of these. So glad you enjoyed yourself in our beautiful state and one of Indias favourite tourist destinations. 😊👏🏻👏🏻
ОтветитьMartin's is mainly known for their sea food. Rice, prawn curry and fried fish try it next time that's a Goan staple lunch.
ОтветитьNice vlog

ОтветитьMaybe this place is over hyped … and I would say it’s a bit expensive
ОтветитьThe part where Pete asks the banana guy his name was hilarious. Seems Steph understands more Hindi than she knows. Haha.
ОтветитьI am from Goa and happy you like our delicacy
ОтветитьThank you for going to Goa because I was born there in Santa Cruz
ОтветитьShe got food poisoning in India? Weird, that would almost never happen.
ОтветитьBeing a fellow goan who enjoys tasting foods and cusine from around the globe, your post was interesting to see your reaction of goan foodies. As a goan I would never step into "Martin's Corner", not only is it overhyped, since its run by outsiders and cooks that murder every goan dish they make. When in Goa the best places to eat are via word of mouth, and only take advice from real genuine goan locals, because all goans love rheir their food, dance and music. Nowdays most of the food joints are taken over by outsiders, so they dont reflect true goan cusine ... if you love dood get invited to a goan household to experience true goan hospitality. Loved your son's reaction in the videos and he seems to mirror your love foor tasting food. Hope you'll visit Goa again. Cheers !!
Ответитьyou tried bebinca- wow
ОтветитьSteph & Pete good vlog, martin corner is only hyped, cater to the high class, standard is down, wish you all the best, continue to make good videos
ОтветитьI am from Goa and god bless your family ❤❤❤❤
ОтветитьHi🙋🏻♀️Steph, Pete, Precious little one🫶Goa🫶& everyone 🗺️🕊️🫶
Yummy, I cook all of these Goan delicacies, Galinha Cafreal Portuguese colonies in Mozambique, Africa. We have it with coleslaw & fries or wedges! Xacuti made with several roasted spices with grated coconut. Bebinca is made with coconut milk, sugar, eggs, flour, nutmeg & butter or ghee brushed on every grilled layer. We make it every month. Choriz Pao, yummy we buy or order from eBay packages of sausages. We chop onions, add the chorizo mix well & pressure cook for 30 minutes. Sorpotel, Vindaloo make it with lamb. I’ve got the recipes from my mother. You’ve to taste Crab Xec Xec, Stuffed Squids, Crumb fried Mussels, Kismur, Vienna steaks/Crumb fried steaks, Clam sukkem, Stew, Prawn curry, croquettes, rissois de camarao, prawn or meat puffs/Pattice etc.
God bless 🙌🤲🙏us all🗺️🕊️🫶MC/Q🕊️🫶🌹
All the food at Martins are good and of good quality but what you should absolutely try there is the recheado masala . So a crab recheado masala or prawn recheado masala . It’s the best recheado masala in all of Goa . But truly all of their food is good and am shocked to hear of the hair . I don’t go there often now as I live in north Goa and I can’t handle pungent food anymore but I used to eat there twice or thrice a week when I lived in the south and it was barely a shack with a mud floor and aunty ( their mom ) doing the cooking…. and I never found a hair . D’silvas is also excellent and one of the few road side eateries , I’ll eat at regularly.
