ОтветитьAs someone who lives in a state where damn near everyone seems to have a boat, I can tell you right now all your issues are that prop. A single ding and it will throw it out of balance at 5000 rpm. That one looks like someone give it hell and then some more. Also, those lower drive need lubrication. Make sure to change the lower unit oil. There is goin to be 1 or two plugs need the bottom for this. Also those props are only meant for 5000rpm. You need to get a different pitch prop. It looks like a fairly standard 14-16p that you would find on these older engines. It is a same you destroyed that poor Johnson! I hope it was toast lol.
ОтветитьAlso, look up trailer bunks. They are just 2x6" or 8" wide boards with outdoor vinyl carpet on them. Then hull slides on them into the water. Its what most boats in America use. Rollers are super expensive trailers and practically no one has them for that size boat.
ОтветитьEnjoyed this alot . Iv been think of doing just this not as fast but same general idea lol cool to see thanks 😊
👍🏴😁✌️
Don’t forget “shock hazard” for the engine cover 😂
ОтветитьWhich motor was used ?
ОтветитьJack the outboard 1 inch in the transom and get rid of that useless P.O.S. DOL Fin on the cav plate .
ОтветитьGood job ! Who makes that hull? Nice looking outfit! You should feel proud of that! 🇺🇸👍🙋♂️🖖🏻
Ответитьjeg tror at når du giver fuld gas, så kommer båden op og planer det mindsker belastningen på motoren i forhold til når du skal skubbe hele bådens skrog igennem vandet
ОтветитьThat's a very good outboard engine, not a piece of junk.
That's a loop charged 2 stroke engine.
Very very fast and efficient.
They fastest of that era, power to weight is still unmatched.
People who know nothing are quick to speak bad ly of things they know nothing about.
It just goes to show how much this generation knows.
they throw away good equipment and replace it with useless junk that has no comparison in power to weight ratio.
So when are you coming to Seattle to colab with rctestflight?
ОтветитьKolla upp subnado cool grej som du skulle kunna prova bygga, undervattens jett typ
ОтветитьNu till den stora frågan.. Vad heter fisljummen på engelska egentligen??
ОтветитьDude, buy yourself a small lathe! 3d printing is great, but not for everything.
ОтветитьVa äre för båt? Från början? 🤔
ОтветитьSvenska
ОтветитьHi, can you give a link for your electric motor please?
ОтветитьWhat model of boat is it, the design looks really slick?
Ответитьthat johnson probs still worked lol. also a 35hp is way faster than that motors output.
ОтветитьUse vesc controller, you can tune your motor
Ответитьswedish?
ОтветитьInvest in some Ebike batteries and controllers.....
ОтветитьIn this instance, that whale tail is likely serving a purpose. However, if you bump that boat motor up to twice as much power, lose the whale tail, and get your prop pitch in order. Also, dial in the motor height. You will realize the boat's max potential.
Whale tails are a band aid for a poorly setup boat and they will rob you of top end speed because of the extra drag.
Cool video, though! Glad I found it.
3 mins into the vid, and she already has the "honey" status.
ОтветитьLarger diameter lower pitch propeller will make a big difference
Ответитьwoah dude gf is a 10
ОтветитьNot sure if I missed it, but what are the specs on the electric motor?
ОтветитьDidn't have time to watch the whole video, but I'd suspect that what you are noticing as stuttering is actually cogging. I'd suggest checking in on your hall position sensors and the motor timing + maybe allow for higher peak current, around 3x the current you plan on running continous if you watercool it. Sweet build though! I'm considering re-winding a cooked QS90 I have laying around and doing something similar, I've been running that for 2 years on 7kW and I bet that if water cooled it'd be fine with that output. That + a small flat hull would probably work pretty damn good! Suger att allt är så jävla dyrt i Sverige bara..
ОтветитьHey that thing moves! Looks like fun. Great vid!
Ответитьnice, how many price this inging usd
ОтветитьWhat motor did you use???
ОтветитьGo for 90Volts. Would love to see that video, and also know why you were getting that break up at 1/2 throttle????
ОтветитьI think some of your problem not able to go above 50 percent of power can be addressed with mounting and the amount of load being put on prop. Playing round with this might help a little bit. One of the main culprit might be the backlash between the speed of the motor and the speed of the gearcase pinion and forward gear when accelerating and letting off the throttle.
ОтветитьExcellent experiments.
ОтветитьThat was pretty awesome! I was looking up Electric Boat motors and this video popped up. Nice work
ОтветитьHey I understood some of that swedish!
ОтветитьExcellent videos. Thanks. I’m building a small boat (Hydrorunner combo jet ski/hydroplane from 1988 Popular Mechanics plans). I have a 1963 Mercury 35hp which need some work so I thought I’d see if it could be converted to electric and produce the same 35hp or close. Run time at half to 3/4 throttle for an hour or so would probably be enough as we are on a small lake. The engine total is 130lbs which is the max the plans call for. Can you give me an idea of approximately how much the casing (what’s left) weighs when the power head is removed? The issue will be the weight of the batteries to power the boat at plane at a decent speed (say 30-35 mph to keep it safer) for a reasonable time (e.g., at least an hour). Not an engineer so learning as I go. Thanks.
ОтветитьNo human shield for human eyes?
ОтветитьBro casulally driving a boat with His foot
ОтветитьWhat Motor did you use for this motor conversion?
ОтветитьIt's interesting that you have obtained a Johnson outboard motor in Sweden, that was possibly made in my hometown of Waukegan Illinois. Look it up, Johnson Outboards were made there for a very long time on Seahorse Drive.
ОтветитьEn flytväst vore ju ändå en bra idé! Finns ju sånna körvar en kan köpa idag som inte är ivägen direkt :) det är en billig livförsäkring ändå
ОтветитьProbably do better as an in board, like a jetski pump
ОтветитьJack plate the outboard and get the fins out and the water at full throttle
Ответитьput a stark varg engine in it
Ответить"An electric f***in' boat!" gave me chills
Ответитьfor that size motor, a 2 bladed bronze speed prop is what U need. i had 1 on my 25 HP Johnson short shaft outboard & Sarasota, Florida Marine Patrol clocked me doing 63mph...i was using a 12'ft. aluminum deep V Sears & Roebuck rowboat that i found sunk in a mudhole...It took a week 2 scrape off all the barnacles & seal it up with GLOVE-IT epoxy paint ! i would LOVE 2 have that little boat U got, bt i'd put a Berkley Jet Drive powered by a Hydrogen Powered Engine ! The seawater would be your source of fuel ! TO HELL WITH ELECTRIC...U CAN'T GET ENUFF LONG LASTING POWER WITH THE CURRENT TECHNOLOGY AVAILABLE !
ОтветитьI believe the reason for not wanting to increase the RPM is the ESC load. Either use gears or more capable ESC.
Ответить2 Esdras 7:75
I answered and said, "If I have found favor in thy sight, O Lord, show this also to thy servant: whether after death, as soon as every one of us yields up his soul, we shall be kept in rest until those times come when thou wilt renew the creation, or whether we shall be tormented at once?" 76 He answered me and said, "I will show you that also, but do not be associated with those who have shown scorn, nor number yourself among those who are tormented. 77 For you have a treasure of works laid up with the Most High; but it will not be shown to you until the last times.
78 Now, concerning death, the teaching is: When the decisive decree has gone forth from the Most High that a man shall die, as the spirit leaves the body to return again to him who gave it, first of all it adores the glory of the Most High. 79 And if it is one of those who have shown scorn and have not kept the way of the Most High, and who have despised his law, and who have hated those who fear the Most High -- 80 such spirits shall not enter into habitations, but shall immediately wander about in torments, ever grieving and sad, in seven ways.
81 The first way, because they have scorned the law of the Most High. 82 The second way, because they cannot now make a good repentance that they may live. 83 The third way, they shall see the reward laid up for those who have trusted the covenants of the Most High. 84 The fourth way, they shall consider the torment laid up for themselves in the last days. 85 The fifth way, they shall see how the habitations of the others are guarded by angels in profound quiet. 86 The sixth way, they shall see how some of them will pass over into torments. 87 The seventh way, which is worse than all the ways that have been mentioned, because they shall utterly waste away in confusion and be consumed with shame, and shall wither with fear at seeing the glory of the Most High before whom they sinned while they were alive, and before whom they are to be judged in the last times.
88 "Now this is the order of those who have kept the ways of the Most High, when they shall be separated from their mortal body. 89 During the time that they lived in it, they laboriously served the Most High, and withstood danger every hour, that they might keep the law of the Lawgiver perfectly. 90 Therefore this is the teaching concerning them: 91 First of all, they shall see with great joy the glory of him who receives them, for they shall have rest in seven orders.
92 The first order, because they have striven with great effort to overcome the evil thought which was formed with them, that it might not lead them astray from life into death. 93 The second order, because they see the perplexity in which the souls of the unrighteous wander, and the punishment that awaits them. 94 The third order, they see the witness which he who formed them bears concerning them, that while they were alive they kept the law which was given them in trust. 95 The fourth order, they understand the rest which they now enjoy, being gathered into their chambers and guarded by angels in profound quiet, and the glory which awaits them in the last days. 96 The fifth order, they rejoice that they have now escaped what is corruptible, and shall inherit what is to come;
and besides they see the straits and toil from which they have been delivered, and the spacious liberty which they are to receive and enjoy in immortality. 97 The sixth order, when it is shown to them how their face is to shine like the sun, and how they are to be made like the light of the stars, being incorruptible from then on. 98 The seventh order, which is greater than all that have been mentioned, because they shall rejoice with boldness, and shall be confident without confusion, and shall be glad without fear, for they hasten to behold the face of him whom they served in life and from whom they are to receive their reward when glorified.
99 This is the order of the souls of the righteous, as henceforth is announced; and the aforesaid are the ways of torment which those who would not give heed shall suffer hereafter." 100 I answered and said, "Will time therefore be given to the souls, after they have been separated from the bodies, to see what you have described to me?" 101 He said to me, "They shall have freedom for seven days, so that during these seven days they may see the things of which you have been told, and afterwards they shall be gathered in their habitations."
102 I answered and said, "If I have found favor in thy sight, show further to me, thy servant, whether on the day of judgment the righteous will be able to intercede for the unrighteous or to entreat the Most High for them, 103 fathers for sons or sons for parents, brothers for brothers, relatives for their kinsmen, or friends for those who are most dear." 104 He answered me and said, "Since you have found favor in my sight, I will show you this also. The day of judgment is decisive and displays to all the seal of truth. Just as now a father does not send his son, or a son his father, or a master his servant, or a friend his dearest friend, to be ill or sleep or eat or be healed in his stead, 105 so no one shall ever pray for another on that day, neither shall any one lay a burden on another; for then every one shall bear his own righteousness and unrighteousness." .....2 Esdras 7:75
