Hi Steve great vid, having fitted one of these systems to my GSA Rallye TE, Did I miss something, I didn’t see the location you fitted the GPS module. Thanks Bush
ОтветитьIf you were to put the camera on the other side of the bracket, would that allow the wind screen to lower a bit more?
My wife is sitting here watching this video with me, her comment is that your are as picky (I think the term she used was anal-retentive) as myself.
Thanks for the detailed video.
Have you ever thought that doing these videos are sort of doing yourself out of money ?
ОтветитьI bought kit from Steve did my own installation. I installed the GPS in front of fuel filler cap underneath plastic tank cover. No problems with it picking up a signal. Great video Steve
ОтветитьBro can you tell me about that mic 🎤 you are using! Looks and sounds cool. Link or something thank you 🙏
ОтветитьSteve, I watched your video but you didn't show where you mounted the GPS aerial.
ОтветитьI just spoke to 'North Oxford Motorrad' who is one of the Innovv's authorised installers and they said they stopped installing Innovvs because of technical issues they faced. I am not sure about it now.
ОтветитьWhat's the coiled up cable under the back seat for? Some sort of helmet locking thing?
ОтветитьI don't care what you charge. You're worth every penny!
ОтветитьThe k2 is a great unit. I have one fitted to my s1000xr which is getting traded in for a gsa. Need to remove it and transfer to the new beast.
ОтветитьHi, great video ! Where can I find the helpfull tool you used in this vid to remove the little plastic pin ? Thx. Greetings from Belgium
ОтветитьJust used your video help to me install the K2 on my 2019 r1250gs, thanks so much your explanation/video was very helpful! I finished up yesterday mounting the cameras in the positions you used in the video (except in the front I did mount to the side so that I can get the wind screen in the full down position). Last night I was laying in bed thinking about the installation when I thought "I hope the rear camera doesn't interfere with my Vario side bag mounting!". Just went out and mounted the side bag and it is like the camera was made to fit with the bag mounted! Fits snugly between the bag and the bike making the camera even less obvious. Thanks again for your good work!
Ответитьgreat vid.what phone are you using?
ОтветитьAnyone else have issues with vibration on the front camera when installing where Steve did?
I have a R1250GS and I'm going to have to move the camera. Unfortunately, I installed it when the bike was disassembled and ran the camera wire with all the other wires from the lights. I even ran everything under the tank! The camera body is too wide to fit in the gap between the windshield and the headlight so looks like I'm disassembling everything just to free up the connection part of the wire so I can remove it from it's current location.
A first-class installation video and well talked through installation, Thank you for that.
ОтветитьGreat job you are very methodical 👍
ОтветитьAnother great install video - Steve, your a wealth of knowledge and skills.
I completed the install without issue
Great video, it helped a lot. Gracias!!!
ОтветитьThanks for posting such a comprehensive guide, it's very much appreciated. I'd also appreciate your advice on whether you can see any problems with powering the unit from the accessory socket on my R1250r. The power socket on my bike is below the seat and I have no need to use it for anything else, as I have an adapter on the bmw satnav base which gives me 2 usb outlets for my phone etc.
What I propose to do is relocate the power socket from the side panel to underneath the seat with my Powerlet usb adapter plugged in and micro usb cable to provide power to the dvr. The socket is only powered when the bike is on, so I'm hoping this will eliminate the need for the DC converter/transformer. I like the idea of not having more connections to the battery and keeping more of the hardware and wiring under the pillion seat.
Hey Steve, I was wondering. Would it be possible to install the rear facing camera somewhere above the dashboard, behind the windscreen (facing to the rear obviously)?
From that front position and given that the INNOV has a wide field of view, would it (rear camera) be able to record the rider as well as what is coming up from behind him?
When used as evidence I suppose it would benefit the rider to actually show what he/she was doing if hit from behind, plus the benefit of the camera recording the entire bike if tampered with when parked. Your thoughts?
Fitted my cameras yesterday on my new GS which I haven't even ridden yet so I was very apprehensive of taking my bike apart.
With my laptop in the garage and following your step by step guide I managed a very neat installation. Thank you very much.
I just need to find the best place for the gps.
Gotta get rid of those sound effects, i nearly spilled my coffee.
ОтветитьHi Just wondering if you have done a fit to a R1250RT? Wondering where to pick up a switched live, some suggest the front power socket, but as I use that for my Optimate that may be a problem?
Many Thanks
Might want to test it before putting it all back together again! ;-)
ОтветитьWhat do you think of the new K3 and K5 vs the K2?
ОтветитьJust wondering can I get your number please
ОтветитьI love two rijd to your shop end si My 2021 bmw Adventure trippel blak 😄🙏🏽
ОтветитьHi Great install can you tell me the model of Milwaukee your using as can’t find one like that with the hex drive?
ОтветитьNot Sure why anyone would want a camera fitted to there bike? Why on earth would you want the footage downloaded after a accident by the Police, Showing you doing 130mph down the local Bypass? Speedos are blurred on here because err your travelling at the correct speed right! each to there own and all that! Doubt it would still be working after a UK winter anyways
ОтветитьGreat step by step
ОтветитьAny ideas why the k3 green camera light is flashing on the unit you installed?
ОтветитьThank you
ОтветитьI would pay $100 for someone else to do this.
ОтветитьBrilliant video. Thanks for clearly demonstrating and explaining how to install. Especially the switched live fitting as that saves me money installing a camSmart system.
Instead of a Posi-tap like you’ve shown, what about a fuse tap with the 7.5A fuse instead?
The reason the -ve comes off first and goes on last is simple. With the -ve off, if your screwdriver accidentally touches the frame when undoing/tightening the +ve there's no path back to the -ve terminal of the battery through the frame, so there's no short circuit. If -ve is still connected and you accidentally make a connection to the frame when touching the +ve terminal then you'll get a direct short and bad things happen.
Forget about "putting things on" and "taking things off" and just think "if I'm touching the +ve terminal then the -ve should already be disconnected"
Steve, can you tell me what size AWG posi tap connector I need for the yellow wire to the switched live? Many thanks
ОтветитьPlease forgive me, but as a positive remark you give me the impression to be the 'Edd China' for motorbikes, same skills, same intonation as well. Very clear and skilled video.
ОтветитьHi, I installed the Innovv K2. Red cable to the plus and the black to the negative. The yellow cable also connected to the correct location. When I turn off the bike the DVR turns off after 30 seconds. Only the DC converter light remains on. Is this how it should be? and does this have consequences my battery?
Thanks for making these helpful videos!
Finally someone actually show good Yellow wire connection. Thank you!
ОтветитьWas searching for a way to tap that yellow wire on my 2022 RT1250. Thank you very much for the "posi-connector" idea. Saved the day! Thank you for taking the time to post such an excellent tutorial.
ОтветитьI think you just like dismounting the bike bro 😂 Its just a simple cable that can go easily underneath stuff without being visible and without dismounting stuff
ОтветитьI’m fitting this to my RT using the same wire - blue and red. It switches on but doesn’t switch off! 🤷♂️
ОтветитьDouble DRAT! I didn’t show where the gps is located. It’s right at the back behind the rear light.
