Great dog breeds. Expect NO burglars at your house ❤
Ответитьi heard garlic likes sulfur so i'm going to add some elemental sulfur (since i have it on hand) to my garlic beds this month.
Ответитьthe lower level looks like it has hardly been touched and you started with the top level which looked like it had been finished with castings,
does this mean that the worms are travelling up form the lower levels to the top? or are you just rotating the trays when you see that the majority of food has been eaten? I've got a similar tower, but the worms don't want to travel up and stay in the moisture laden lower level. What am I doing wrong.
I imagined that all you had to do was fill the lower level -, once that was full put another tray on top and put the food there. Why do you need " bedding" don't the worms just live in the food?
thanks for your help Steve.
Gardening in Canada just did a video on garlic... Sulfur, loose soil, adequate spacing to keep the bulbs from pressing soil into each other, plant early enough to get root development and mulch\snowpack insulation for any greens that peel through
Ответить2 year garlic experience - Deer like very early garlic sprouts. Build a fence. Groundhogs like to tear up early garlic beds (worm hunting?) and then leave them alone. Build a fence.
ОтветитьI did not participate in the breed guessing game... but since I don't know anything about dogs, I probably would not have done too good :) Congrats to those who made good guesses!
ОтветитьGood morning Ann, from Windermere, Florida zone 9b 🇺🇸
We are still high 80's and 90's% humidity.
I love watching you massage (irritate) your worms 🪱

There is a local garlic grower here in WI Keene Garlic, they have an awesome website of garlic growing tips. Last year I soaked my garlic cloves in a compost/worm casting extract, ended up with some nice sized garlic. Go to a local farmers market to buy garlic to plant, a lot cheaper
You could collect some of the cucumber seeds and save them to plant next year.
Your dog looks so cool!
Stay Well!!!
Hi Ann, your worm tower reminds me of the decks on the Titanic, with the upper deck eating the best and the dregs fed to the bottom, but everybody knows the bottom deck is the most fun!
Shadow has some big paw prints to live up to with all that grand heritage! Good dog!

Is 95F too hot for a worm bin?

ОтветитьGreat feeding Ann! Neat seeing the hand ripped cardboard tray. I haven’t heard of most of the types of dogs that make up your dog. 😂
