as someone who likes to centralize everything to my pc i have used usb hubs since my platform was still LGA 1156

dang it's out of my budget. i hope other brands make an affordable option even with less hubs.

I think that's only good for receivers. If you plug in simultaneously like a phone and 2 external hard drive on it, it will drop the connection due to insufficient power delivery. But you can buy a hub with a dedicated power adaptor to avoid this issue.
