I think we now have a reason for a Chrollo/Kurapika team up if Chrollo can get access to the mummy it should stop the succession war if it is what controlling the ritual since Kurapika mentioned they has to be something that decides boundaries of the ritual so it must be at some nen focal point so removing it should at least take down the barrier that kills people so Woble and the other younger princes could survive

NARRATIVELY, it makes a lot of sense for the perfect partner to just be hisoka, esp considering hisoka's earlier little monologue

The reason why Chrollo needs to steal the treasures first before the ability is because apparently it's an incredibly rare and powerful Nen ability and Skill Hunter needs to be leveled up to steal it and a condition to level up skill hunter is apparently stealing shit, the rarer the shit he steals the more it levels up

Chrollo is who beyond wanted to talk to and that is why he needs the items for beyond and he is going to use a curse for chrollo

Chrollo says he needed the treasures to evolve his ability so I am guessing it may enable him to have his own nen beast holding the book for him while using double face or even unlimited abilities at the same time.

I love Togashi but some of the decisions he’s making for the characters doesn’t make a lot of sense. For example, having all of the troupe member split up. I understand he’s doing that so they can be killed off one by one, but it so predictable and unwise for them to do so. Especially after Bono and Shizuku both opted to stay with Chrollo originally. Neither of them can take Hisoka on their own so they should at least be together.

Then there’s the topic of if Chrollo can beat Hisoka again. This seems so odd to even question this, let a lone Togashi writing that Chrollo needs a new ability to beat him. Chrollo totally dominated Hisoka during their last fight and barely broke a sweat, but now Hisoka is suddenly so strong that Chrollo can’t beat him as he is now?

I just can’t buy this and I don’t think this is consistent writing from Togashi. I could only see chrollo worrying about this if he lost all the abilities in his book or something and had to start fresh.

I think Chrollo's ability for stealing techniques ties to his main power which scales in comparison to his heists. Pulling off the heist of the century would unlock his next tier in power and let him use his book at a higher level.

What if Chrollo is planning to steal emperor time? Or at the very least arbiter little finger.

What i get from this chrollo => find the partner who can lead to the treasure room => steal the treasure to upgrade skill hunter => get the ability to kill hisoka

Togashi reminded us how great his art really is with some random sewers, lol, and loved seeing so much Chrollo with his thoughts and especially that one image was so peak plus his nen GPS tracking someone for that confrontation and still needs the sacred treasures as well that's a lot to do frfr

Chrollo didnt use their abilities vs Hisoka. Krotopi and shalnark were litterally in the covers of the crowd using their abilities to attack Hisoka. Chrollo asked shalnark if he wanted his needles back. If chrollo stole shalnarks ability why would he need HIS needles! Great videos keep them comin!!! Theres tons of proof that chrollo was fighting along side other spiders! He didnt use their abilities

Honestly... I'm brewing a crackpot theory that Chrollo is one of Beyond's children and he plans to make him the next king. Chrollo's backstory shows him as a great leader. He's shown an ambivalence about his purpose in life which could stem from him finding the nen curse that's in the mouths of Beyond's kids.

Not much solid evidence for this at all, but just have a weird hunch that Chrollo is connected to the Succession war somehow.

My theory is chrollo wants to steal the Kakin treasures upgrade his skill book so that he can acquire more post mortem men abilities and the one he wants to take is hisokas and then kill him. Where he’ll still have the ability even after hisoka is dead and hisoka can’t use it to revive himself.

What I undersood from the spanish translation about the nen skill that Chrolo wants to overkill Hisoka is he wants the ability from one of the national treasures, the guardian one I supose, that probably is the one that killed Kacho with those spooky hands.
