After watching the video, all I gotta do now is wait until the official RetroPie release and I'll pull the trigger on the Pi4.

I am hoping there is a case similar to this one in which the tower heatsink and fan will fit nicely.

I am using Top and Bottom of old version 9 layer case, with extra nuts to hold it in, The Fan just clears the heat-sink
Now the 4B cases are out, i will grab a couple

Always blowing out with the fan extracts the heat from the sinks instead of pushing it around inside the case.

So, would you say that a 5v/3a PSU is fine and there isn't an absolute need for the official 5.1v/3a (15.3w) PSU?

these wafer cases are so boring and the little heatsinks are so weak. i put ultimate 3510 cooler on my pi3 with thermic pate and glued it on then put dualfan heatsink on the ram and sdcard slot underneath. then shoved it in superpi case with the little bin cut out

To save wearing out the keyboard try adding 'watch' to the command ... watch vcgencmd measure_temp

On the Pi 3b & b+, the GPIO 5V is straight from the power supply, the 3.3V was not recommended.

I really love your challenges! How about this in another window of LXTerminal?
while true; do vcgencmd measure_clock arm ; vcgencmd measure_temp; sleep 1; done
You can show clock speed and temperature even during the benchmark.

Hey drew, its me again. need your opinion since you done a lot of review for pi's casing. Currently im newbie for the pi and my 1st pi going to be pi 4. Aside from Ice Tower, i already narrow down to 2 casing which is case with fan (as per video) and armor case (w/o fans). Im not sure between this 2 is the best to decrease the temp for pi 4. For you info, i will be using pi 4 for desktop use / media player.

Thank you for your help yah. really appreciate it.

Great video. After watching it a couple of times in slow-mo mode it was easy to put the case together. I took your advice and put the screws in from the git-go. That made it easier to hold the case together. However, I positioned the fan so it sucked the air "out" of the case. ;-(

both my hdmi converter and official power cable cannot plug into the ports. the case is blocking the edge of the cable to fit in. it seems to me everything is exactly the same as the video.except we use different cables. I am not sure if I mess up the sequence of the acrylic panel?

A group of my coworkers bought canakits and they were all complaining about heat issues. I opted for this case and haven't had a single heat issue. I run the fan on the slow speed for completely silent operation. Very pleased with this one. Thanks for the review.

How to use this thing in Europe? That outlet connection does not look right. Also this looks complicated to assemble..

You were lucky, they've replaced the nuts with jam fasteners that are too small to grab the side of the hole. You can't over-tighten the screws but for people who wear a size 14 ring it is a real pain in the fingers.
That said, thanks for a very good and helpful video.

My case was different, but I was looking for assembly instructions for the fan. I wasn't sure which GPIO pin-outs I needed as the instructions were too small for me to read, even with a magnifier. So your guide worked a treat. Thanks :-)

🤔We will get one or more mini heatsink for the powered chips? In infrared camera it shows the power chips heats as much as the cpu.

Great video! You can add the heatsinks before you put the PI in the case however when you then add the 4th layer of plastic it can fowl on the heatsinks meaning you have to move them a little so best to put heatsinks on as per the instructions after the 4th plastic is added. Bolts should go top to bottom with nut at bottom.
