Thanks for doing the work and giving us the actual specs. Sucks having to do research on no name components.

The 3rd critical component of this is the STROKE length of the shock.... you need to consider that if you are trying to increase your travel.

I feel like the biggest problem with the fs.2 slalom rear shock is that it’s way over sprung. my buddy has a slolam and when I sit on it(at 245lb) i barely compress the rear shock. my buddy weighs around 130 so you could imagine how pointless the suspension is for him. I calculated for the spr grate that he would need for a 20% sag and it’s a 191lb spring that felt like it would be really light even for him so i sent him a 300 lb coil for his bike. it’s on its way right now and i’m excited to see how the stock shock performams once it’s sprung properly.

Avoid these problems by purchasing an actual mountain bike.

Nobody cares about this bike anymore. It's old news. It's all about the FS.3 FASTFLOW, nomsayin'. Get with the times, brah.

SO watch your videos about the O.TRAIL I think this is your 5/6 videos on it . got my didn,t brother too ride stock . when ahead and pull all my highend parts off my mongoose cuz i knew how I wanted to ride with better upgrade parts. I did still left the stock R.shock on it . rode it around. the 1 problem with it was that no matter how I ajusted it the R.shock would move or buch a "1 . lucky i too had the same DNM R.shock 190"x50" travel like you cuz i got rid of that stock coil/oil EVA shock . the reason is that that coil spring come with a 850LBS ! I weight in at 211LBS ADD my gear is 11.33 swap parts got my bike down to 37.13LBS total mass weight with me and bike 259.46LBS! the weight of the bike and me and still couldn,t get the stock R.shock too move at all ! the DNM R. shock work great 4 about 3 weeks and than dead on me. which that a given cuz it alrendy 4 years old so look at others videos ozark trail and saw this 1 guy install a DNM BURNER - RCP2S . SO WENT AMZAON look it up read it spes . did the window blow up to see what LBS WEIGHT ON C.spring could not beielve what it said . the spring LBS rated on it is 550LBS ! WHEN i SAW THAT I knew this is the one for me. My mongoose XR PRO came stock with a C.spring rater at 650LBS ! AND THE TOO WAS TO STIFF for to ride it. I am ending this now cuz that all I going to said for will come back later with more intale about my mods/upgrades .

650lb spring is crazy. Also you shouldn't be doing an informational video if you don't know much about shocks.

Kev, have you or do you know of anyone that experienced looseness of the cassette along the hub?
I sure did

I had to find a 12mm hex wrench which is REALLY odd
However, fortunately I just had to tighten it and all is fine now
