Chinese have about 28% of the international student population on campus and not a single Chinese was shown.

where are the students from taiwan, mainland and hong kong?

It's way higher if counting local Chinese Canadians etc. I'm only using UBCO stats.

Still Asians are way under-presented on here. If the marketing company is professional then they should understand that. This is very mis-leading.

I am going to apply for an MS course in Computer Science at UCB, Vancouver for the next academic session. As for an Indian student, that I am, I wanted to ask... is it the right thing to do. I mean this university? Will I blend in.... Just curious......

U.B.C seems like a super nice university. I'm glad Vancouver haven't changed that much yet. York U and other places feel like a rubbish and overly crowded cruel piece of junk. York University feels like an unsuitable environment for learning.

Is it true that most international first years are placed in Walter Gage for residence? I'm from the US and I'm going to apply here, but it's really hard to know what to expect! I read online that you have to be 19 to live in Walter Gage, but I was also told that most international students end up there.

Can someone who is an international student reply to this? I have some questions and it would be awesome if you're from Turkey. Thanks!

It's not that diverse here. "International students" basically includes 3 or 5 countries.

As a previous international student who eventually transferred out of UBC, I'd like to tell you they really need to improve their support for students in may areas, like Academic, life support, international student support and more. (also depends on which faculty you are in tho)

Canada has many programs designed to encourage international students to transition to permanent residence after their studies.

Does ubc offer ca courses????
