Is good for the fiance minister to know exactly what is going on with the real Ghanaian market women. Please be positive and stop your negativity. Ndc is for Ghanaians not like Npp who doesn't care about anyone else, than their themselves.

How can you compare town hall meetings to engaging with market women themselves. You have no reason why he went to the market. What at all is wrong with the NPP? They always want to finds ways to plunge this country into the abyss 🤦🏽🤦🏽🤦🏽

This isn't the only time he'll be presenting a budget.

As a matter of fact, this is a good indication and has to be encouraged.

The finance minister has apparently already presented a copy of the budget to parliament before going to talk to the market women. This is called fraud.

Ato Forson should’ve gone to see the market women for their input earlier, not now. This is all a show off and he lacks credibility.

The NDC people are all over praising Ato Forson, and my question is what exactly is Ato Forson expecting to hear? The NDC said they know how to fix Ghana last year and so they lied then.

The finance monster doesn’t need to go the market before he understands that the sky rocketing dollar to cedis rate and high import tariffs are the main cause of inflation.

If Ghana loses 6.4 billion that means that ordinary Ghanaians are able to save those monies for the taxes in their pockets so there is no problem, this is simple logic

In politics, Optics & Perceptions are key to stay relevant as a politician. How the people see you is very important. When they realize you are easily accessible and seem caring, they love and adore you even if your output is insufficient.

I appreciate the work done by KPMG for Ghana losing 6.4billion in a year if some taxes have been canceled. I will also be glad if they can also come out to tell Ghanaians how the 6.4billion was used. If there is no answer to this, then there is no need losing it even if it is 100billion.

The fact that your party did the same survey and it has yielded nothing does not mean NDC should not do it. Both parties are not the same. They have there own idealogies.

My friend this is not the first-time politicians and for that matter finance ministers have done this, what a finance minister considers in presenting a budget is centered on the county's ( CPI) consumer price index and not walking in the marketplace to ask traders what their needs are. I remember when one popular musician in the 70's had a song during Acheampong's era titled wo ay3 hot! me nso ma y3 hot! y3 nyinaa yay3 hot!. Who feels it knows it all, Ghanaians voted for NDC to fix the economy get to work. What makes the current finance minister to think that things have changed overnight. Ghana imports almost everything from outside so what do you expect? The president in his SONA made it known to Ghanaians that inflation is about 24% what else are we waiting for?

Talking to market women before the budget helps the government understand real problems like high prices and taxes. Since they are important to the economy, listening to them can make the budget more helpful. If their needs are considered, it can lower costs, keep fuel prices steady, and support small businesses. When people feel heard, they trust the government more and may pay taxes willingly. But some say big money decisions should come from experts, not just public opinion. The government must also think about the world economy and future plans. A good budget should balance expert ideas with real-life struggles.
