Does anyone know what tuning that is?

Just saw him live at a gig of about 200...his voice is incredible and he comes across as one of the nicest, most humble guys you could wish to meet.

I was heartbroken when The Civil Wars broke up but the more I hear JPW I've come to realize that he drove sound more than Joy. Her voice was angelic but JPW has shown that he has more potential as a soloist. I really dig his sound!

I dig this whole sound, from the riff to his vocals. It has a generations-old vibe to it, like the tune was dug up, dusted off, and made new again by way of his voice. I've seen him occasionally by his work with Brandi Carlile and the Secret Sisters, but I'm finally getting more into his catalog... and it is fantastic.
