Merry Christmas to you, Sean, and thank you for sharing your new, slower life with the rest of us. Have been following you for years, and truly enjoy your channels. On the cutting board question: I have considered gifting you a proper kitchen knife, but unsure if you’d want it, since you haven’t bought one yet 😊 Part of the reason your board looks the way it does might be because you drag/scratch you knife when you cut your veggies. A proper knife would make a huge difference, as you would not be making as deep marks on it. I have both plastic and wooden boards, and would go for wood any time. I try to remember to rub some ordinary olive or other types of cooking oil on them now and then. Repairs minor cuts and keeps the wood from drying out.
ОтветитьHi Sean, I could only pop on for the first five mins yesterday, as I was about to start cooking our Christmas dinner. Hence the quick Hi and Bye!
Well, I must admit, we went the frozen mixed veg, frozen roast potatoes route as cheaper and easier inc frozen sprouts! Plus stuffing from a box! For a change we had lamb chops and pigs in blankets and gravy out of a box but I still had Cranberry Sauce as that's my favourite and later on Christmas pud and cream as we were too full after lunch, I was a bit heavy handed with how much veg I did! 😂 We had an Asti in terms of drinks as was on offer at the supermarket! 😅 Plus I prefer that to Champagne. But anyway, you did well. It is all in the timings, looks easy but there is a lot to think about! You did well! 👍🏻
Anyway, if I don't speak to you before Happy New Year! See you in 2025! 🎉
thank you Sean James Cameron for all that you do and all that you are, sweet Christmas times❤

ОтветитьHappy Christmas Sean and everyone! Interesting you making the mint sauce I used to do that as a child but with fresh mint - now I just eat it neat from the jar..All the very best for the new year and the work on the homestead!!! All the very best !

ОтветитьMerry Christmas Sean, hope you enjoyed your Christmas dinner you cooked. Looked good ,well done.
ОтветитьLate boxing day now. I hope you enjoyed your Christmas Dinner. My dad never put water in mint sauce, I tend to buy the mint jelly now, but I like cranberry sauce with my turkey. I always cook extra veg for bubble and squeak with cold turkey and pickles on boxing day, think I enjoy that more than Christmas Dinner 😊

ОтветитьThank you for sharing your life with us. I love watching Gavin and Stacey especially Bryn. My father's name was also Bryn and he reminds me of him a little. Merry Christmas and a happy new year to you and your gorgeous cats. 🎄
ОтветитьHey , where’s the gravy , nice little vlog, would of liked to see the end product..
ОтветитьIn the future, if you still have your microwave, you can use that to heat potatoes and the paw snips, it would save a lot of trouble. And time.😊
ОтветитьI got sick the day before Christmas when I am well again. That's when I will celebrate. Have a nice meal until then, boohoo.😢
ОтветитьExactly how I was taught to make mint sauce. Then clean the plate of gravy & mint sauce with a piece of bread and butter.

ОтветитьSean, I heard a chef say use wooden chipping boards, but get ones where the grain is upwards. Then you won't have the problem of slicing the fibres longways. x
ОтветитьI used to eat the stork of the crawliflower
ОтветитьButchers throw salt on their benches to clean them
Ответитьyou put together a very good meal - more food than I could have eaten but it all looked good. Mint in gravy? New to me. But I did like mint jelly on bread.
