Best sub-$40k hot hatch? 2021 Ford Fiesta ST detailed expert review 4K

Drove one today. It‘s quick but it’s missing the sensation of low end torque, and not overly responsive IMO. In today’s climate with our overzealous police, a punchy low end is about all you can enjoy. Corners very well but I’d rather take my MX-5 around a corner. I think it’s a great little car but like the swift sport, very hyped, I need to drive a polo gti.

As an owner of a 2020 Fiesta ST-3 I completely agree with this review. I have every option including the Pan Roof and the car is in black. So much fun to drive!! I was a VW Golf driver for the past 14 years, owning the MK4, 5, 6, & 7.5, I am so glad I made the move, The Golf is boring in comparison.

A zippy little manual car. Lovely. The only thing better would be rear wheel drive. Oh, a rotary would be nice too. Bring back the 70's! No, I don't give a toss about infotainment, especially in a car like the Fiesta...it's all about the drive.

Oh I thought he meant 'Feast' cuz Feast in my language is Fiesta. Lol

Is the heated windscreen distracting at all?

Previously had a 2016 in red, this red looks even better....maybe the blue too. Cheers for the review, didn't need anymore convincing!

Like many have said in the comments, this is possibly one of the best review I've seen in a long time ! You got a new sub, and I think Ford will get a new client soon ^^' (my choice is between an ST and the new Hyundai i20N but after this review I think the ST is gonna be mine...)

You can flat shift also, without lifting clutch... faster times.

A heated windscreen isn’t an option you’d normally expect on a car like this…is Australia still in the 1980s or something?!

This car has flat foot shifting Paul, using it would have decrease the 0-100kmhr times

We've had the fiesta ST in the UK a few years now, fantastic ford engineering numerous steering rack problems , engine oil leaks and lots of electrical problems 😂😂 save the planet buy a ford and walk everywhere 👍

Very interesting ,comprehensive and well done review! ..Here in Norway I bought a 2018 ST (3) with all the options 3 weeks ago..it is the most fun car to drive on the relatively twisty Norwegian west coast roads around here I could imagine...I have had quite a few fast cars but this is certainly the fastest point to point car I have owned and a superb compromise for anyone needing a small all rounder for daily tasks that can make you grin ear to ear out of town..best from Norway mate!

i wish the 3-cyl came to the us!! would be a fun mod platform

How do people get over “Depreciation depression”? Losing so much money on a new vehicle each year with its value dropping, insurance, registration, maintenance costs etc? I rarely drive these days because it’s not required for my lifestyle. I’d like to get back into driving though, but it seems like throwing money away.😌

Both affordable by proper fun cars, with very different approaches!

The new fiesta looks wayyy better, it use to look more like a nanny car

I test drove a 2020 model today and bought it. It is an amazing car but getting harder to find for sale.
So much fun, even when you aren't driving it hard.

I’m looking at buying one of these currently so I’ve been looking at loads of videos trying to find out everything I can about this car and I have to say this review is so so up there. The only thing I would say is it would be nice to get a run through on the instrument cluster but aside from that fantastic video!
