The last few days now January 06,2022 - Saddened by the revealing circumstances regarding the passing of Tom T. Hall . I guess we will never know and understand what motivates a person to make his last seconds of life so dramatic . The world has lost another great .Tom T Hall , his story will be a closed chapter of endless pages of emptyness as with darkness that lumbered over like clouds on top of a mountain .

Hall, I think that he is flipping great, no over the top C&W, real, great songwriter, and excellent singer

I think his version is the best. I really feel it with Tom's voice and the way he sings it. It sounds the most like home. Maybe that's because it's the one I'm most familiar with. Anybody prefer another version?
