They could've at least had background music.

It's incredible how little specific information this presentation contains. Clearly it was made for business executives who don't know anything about IT. They just need to know that the new operating system is: integrated (whatever that means), has lower planned outages (without presenting any evidence or reasoning why), and will accommodate greater transaction load (again, without any justification). lol

omg, the visualization sequence looks rather scam-ish:-(( And it's not about exactly 90s. Almost all videos about mainframes have no actual UI/UX visualizations. :-(

Typical sales stuff from IBM - graphics (repeated again, again, & again) while representing very little in way of knowledge or concepts. I am happy to have severed business dealings with IBM many years ago. IBM was an organization with lots of unneeded bloat & inefficiency.

I think it shows the decline of IBM somewhat, the repeated graphic and video snips looks like a production done on the cheap.

This is the most mid 90s video editing video I’ve seen (compliment btw, I love this editing)

In defense of IBM and the lack of details in this video, I imagine this is like an ad in a magazine. The idea is to hit a few key points to get your interest, not to be a full run-down of the technical specifications and use cases. I would imagine that if your company is getting ready to buy a more than $1 million dollar mainframe and associated service agreement that a sales representative would come out, meet with you and your staff to determine your needs and answer your questions. Which would then be followed up with a proposal and detailed plan of action and timeline.
