I'm not a FromSoftware or Armored Core fan. I tried Bloodborne back in the day, but it wasn't for me. Others like it, that's fine, but Bloodborne wasn't for me. I bought AC 6 after accidentally researching the franchise lore of previous entries, and having a close friend I play Phantasy Star Online 2: NGS who is an AC fan. I bought the game knowing full well I'd likely get dogged on like the trashcan I am when new to a franchise. And now that I've put a few days of play into AC 6, all I can say is that I'm having fun wheeling around on tank treads with dual wield miniguns in my hands, and 2 Songbirds on my shoulders. I'm having fun with AC 6. Anyone's got a problem with that, that's their problem.

why does everybody compare this to ps2 and ps3 graphics? I'm not really well-versed when it comes to graphical fidelity (I still have a 1060 in my computer, and I constantly play on low settings cause it doesn't matter too much to me).

Every new video of Harman I see, he looks more and like a melted wax figure. So little care is given to his videos and even less to how he looks and sounds in them. Does this man actually have a career?

The only slop here is Harman and the only bad thing here is his health.

I haven't gotten past operation wall-climber, but I can definitely say I like this game. I love giant robots, and being able to make my own emblem in this game was pretty dope. If Harmen had an open mind to actually try Armored Core or any of the games he shits on, then he would not be talking out of his ass like this.

The last thing anyone should do is defend Hartman Smith, but that line asking why he’s making videos instead of playing games is probably the wrong route to go when you probably spent more time on this response video than he’s spent on every video he ever made.

I wanted to like Armored Core 6 but it just isn't like the old games combat. It is much harder than I remember the old games being. It's a good game but it just departed too much from the accessibility of the older games.

It’s absolutely mad to say there’s nothing to Sekiro and then praise a Pokemon game. It’s fine to not like something but that is completely baseless.

Not sure if this was mentioned by anyone but (Daemon X Machina), not even a Switch exclusive, its on PC, (Xenoblade Chronicles), wait, that was a Mecha game? (Spoilers, Harman’s talking out his rear end there, none of those games are Mecha games, the closest I think was X but that was on a failed platform anyways) and (Custom Robo), abandoned effectively by the company.

I was actually surprised that I didn't need lore channels to follow the story. The small cast was done well despite the limited dialogues in combat.

AC6 could definitely be a nominee but there were just stronger ones, AC6 was my favorite game of this year anyway so it doesn't matter what the corpos thinks, but baldur's gate definitely deserved it tho

I watch this, and I say I am a fan of fromsoftware and Nintendo, and these games are far better than Nintendo. I am also a fan of pokemon. I have been a fan since I was a kid, so scarlet and violet have been fun. However, I have had way more fun with Elden Ring and discovering magic and weapons and fighting as a knight so good

Harman seems to be the sort of person who likes to measure people by their "intelligence" via their taste in media. Of course the fact that he doesn't like fromsoft games is objective evidence of their objectively poor quality, if the alternative (that maybe his taste in games doesn't actually correlate to their quality) were true then he'd be forced to admit that he isn't smrtr than everyone else in the world. How could he possibly maintain the belief that his brain is so much more wrinkly than everyone else's if he can't find all us peasants' intelligence lacking via the measure of our taste in media?

My favorite moment in Armored Core 6 was the fight with Ice Worm. Rusty’s “I won’t miss” was more epic than literally anything Nintendo has ever put out and I will fight you about it. And the boss fight right before the ending? That setting is just absolutely spectacular and nothing from Nintendo can beat that.
Also, I’m pretty sure any Fromsoftware fan will tell you that Sekiro is the best of the series lmao. Sekiro was the first Souls-adjacent game to win GOTY and bring people’s attention to Fromsoftware. The whole fanbase LOVED Sekiro.
Plus Armored Core 6 won Best Action Game so lmao.

Knowing Harman and seeing this video again, I am scared to see if he ends up making a video about the Epic Mickey remake next month and how it is terrible since it is not exclusive to Nintendo like the original game from 2010 was. Though maybe he will let it go since it is coming to switch

Ok so I always heard DxM was always kinda mid but I always thought eh its probably got fun build variety. There are no alt leg types?! Are you kidding? Making quad crab freaks, reverse joint kangaroo speedsters, and tank turtles is like 90% of build fun.

If he really thinks sekiro didn’t innovate he just needs to stop gaming. The combat system is completely different. Either he didn’t play it at all or he got to the first miniboss, died a few times, and quit. Absolutely no other explanation for that one. He thinks that is boring? What I don’t understand is how he says it can’t compete with anything Nintendo has put out over the past few years. I have about 1 50 Nintendo switch games and it seems that Nintendo has gotten lazy over the past 5 to 10 years.. Their sports games have very little content. Personally, I was disappointed in Mario Odyssey, but my kids seem to like it so maybe that’s what they were going for. Or rather my kids liked it a few years back but now that they’re older, they never play it. A lot of Nintendo games feel like they have less content than prior iterations on prior systems. There are some good games, of course. I personally really enjoyed Metroid dread. but overall, it seems like they have gotten somewhat lazy.

every game they have made has innovated on the previous iteration, adding new mechanics and techniques to change the way they play. from power stances to deathblows, each game has innovated and influenced several genres. there are SO MANY metroidvanias that have taken in souls mechanics.

Xenoblade Chronicles X and DxM are great mecha games, but you know what they aren't Harman? Nintendo games. Hell, DxM isn't even a switch exclusive.
