This Batmobile is god tier. Idgaf what ANYONE says.
Ответитьthe entire Batmobile sound just gives me chills. THAT, is what a Batmobile should sound like.
Ответитьthis expressionistic soundscaping is soo cool, makes me appreciate The Batman even more. gonna try this out in my future short vids/films lol.
ОтветитьThe Batman is Pure Cinematic Masterpiece. Mind-blowing Realistic Immersive Experience.
ОтветитьThe sound of the train when the truck passes through the frame is on the one hand cool and innovative, but still very grounded in reality.
Although we don’t see the train in the shot, we DO see large pillars. If you’ve lived in NYC, Chicago, or another big city, you know that those pillars are supporting elevated train tracks above the street. So the sound of the train is both interesting and unexpected, but also very realistic and plausible. And that’s really brilliant.
The bieber song was used in Dredd (3D), check out that movie right now, it’s ace and so underrated.
ОтветитьHow are you getting your hands on the M&E?
ОтветитьCame from an Instagram comment lol
ОтветитьCame here from an instagram comment
ОтветитьHow are you getting stem seperates to adjust things like ambience, sfx, foley and dialogue?
Ответитьnebula be cringe
Ответитьwhat a great video!
ОтветитьIt's wild how much hard work and dedication goes to sections of film making that will most likely go unnoticed by most viewers
ОтветитьThe sound design, editing and musical score were all sublime. But where I thought there was room for improving was in the area most modern movies suffer from: sound mixing
Example: a considerable number of moments where spoken dialogue in many of the investigatory scenes was muffled/mumbled, as though the characters were speaking with a hand covering over their mouths.
Masterpiece of a breakdown, thank you for your insight :)
ОтветитьGreat video. I need to go back and watch The Batman with my surround sound. I only watched it on MAX.
Ответитьrain is the perfect thing to for this because it NATURALLY can be roaring or a whisper, within seconds change tone and pitch. it's nature's white noise. it's perfectly possible for it to go momentarily quiet irl
Ответитьthis was a brilliant video. you've given me one more reason to love this movie even more!
ОтветитьThe soundtrack, and background audio was so audibly enticing, and makes the movie stand out even more
ОтветитьAs a independent filmmaker, to me, sound is more important than the visuals. Because yeah, the image looks good, but what does it sound like? I needed to break a Branch to use as a weapon in my video. So what I did was I used the sound effect of a cracking whip to make the sound.. I can't smHear it As nothing but a Cracking Branch
ОтветитьI love, absolutely love the sound for the punches. It sunds more realistic compared to other films to the point where I am sure they made their own punching sound
ОтветитьI think this is the first design where I got what sound design is beyond music and Foley. It's creating the subjecting audio experience the same way a director creates a subjective visual experience.
ОтветитьAbout the train sound… I personally never thought it came from the truck. It puts an extra dimension and tells you… ah! Those columns… it’s a train over head. It makes it all claustrophobic…
ОтветитьAs someone with sensory issues, it was hard to watch this video with headphones. I tried for a while, and with the the scenes from the film I were fine, but when you were talking all of your subtle mouth sounds were killing me. I mean no offense, but I think it would be great if you could maybe edit your audio to be a bit 'cleaner' or something like that.
ОтветитьHas it already been 2 years since this movie came out? Dude, time..
ОтветитьArtists don't need weed to get high , or do they??
ОтветитьWhy does batman always seem to disappear?
There's something in the way
first time i saw the movie i got mad at myself i didnt go to watch it in a cinema
ОтветитьThomas i just want you to know you make absolutely phenomenal content. You give great insight to stuff i hadnt noticed and explain eloquently what i fail to adequately put together.
Also i love that the batmobile is sheer, violent, and angry. Its not sleek or high tech. It itself is a physical manifestation and extension of Bruce’s anger and rage against crime. His vengeance as machine
naw you can call this film a work of art or w/e every frame's a pain(ting) but the plot and subsequent execution just weren't there. i should editit down to an hour tbh.
ОтветитьThere were train tracks right above the truck. What are you talking about? "There was no train." There was a train right there.
ОтветитьI always knew Justin Biebers baby would haunt me.
ОтветитьTo me, the sound of the bat-mobile evokes the sound of a tea pot whistling kettle. Pretty classic tension building technique for setting up an explosive scene, sure. However, with the heavy rain motif throughout, the visual elements of the heating engine in the front, plus the flame in the back that looks like what you would have on a gas stove, the whole image comes together quite nicely.
Ответитьyour voice too low 🎧
ОтветитьThe batman was epic. I'm a sound engineer, but for music, not film. And whenever speaking to my friends who do folly, sound design and film scores, the level of detail and pain always surprises me. Every second of screen time has an excruciating amount of detail, all created in post production and the sheer amount of time and effort that goes into every second is truly humbling. Music is, tbh, a lot easier in comparison.
ОтветитьTalk about how the chords of Batman’s theme and Something In the Way are the same.
Ответитьwhen he nayalyed the truck scene i was like holy $hit. never even I thought this could be possible
ОтветитьYou mention it briefly but I particularly loved how they used different renditions of Ave Maria, in particular longer stretched out and almost eerie versions of it at points to show that perspective shift.
ОтветитьYou’ve convinced me to watch this movie
ОтветитьCinema is truly alive and well. Amidst all the mediocrity, it'll always stay alive and well.
ОтветитьWell done
ОтветитьI’d love to hear your opinion on the soundtrack and score for War For the Planet of the Apes. Another Matt Reeves masterpiece scored by Michael Giachinno which in my opinion has some of the best sound design I’ve experienced before in film
ОтветитьThe train sound replacing the truck at the beginning of the video, was the subway train above.
