The Best Level 3 Trader Weapon Builds | Escape From Tarkov

Moving m80 to peacekeeper L4 makes sense to prolong the wipe and reduce meta 308 guns but the better choice wouldve just to edit its stats. M80 in reality should penetrate armor less than m855 and even m193 55gr fmj from a 20 inch barrel. It would’ve made better sense to keep m80 in L3 peacekeeper but have penetration of around mid 30s. Heck, SS190 was based off M855 (SS109) while having a smaller powder charge and slightly larger projectile which means less energy overall and less energy per square inch of projectile. Hence, less penetration. They already buffed m855 and made 55gr fmj useful but it’s still nowhere near where it should actually perform. Especially compared with m80 right now so m80 needs to go down so it’s not an entry level cartridge that takes Max traders to unlock. Then to make the difference larger, nerf bcp fmj so guys can run big bore 308s sooner without penetrating all types of armor instantly

Ss190 ss193 still available at peacekeeper 3 so its best option for me. Exchange 6 gp coins at mechanic and you good to go

I ran the SR-2 with P ammo, no suppressor, and 20 round mags and absolutely slayed with it. That thing is nuts

I always love the gun build guides. Have you ever thought about doing gear guides? I never know what rigs, armor, backpacks, etc. to use at each trader level. I also never know what ammo to use at each trader level.

The for .308 rifles tcw sp has been clutch this wipe for me. An extra click on the thorax so keep that in mind when closee than 100 meters or when ambushing

for the ak builds I prefer the tangodown grip from skier LL3, more ergo for like 4k more. it's just preference tho

Just a quick note: .308 is still kinda serviceable the only problem is platform availability. I really don't like M80 at PK4 mainly because you don't have any of the juicy platforms at LL2 and choices for LL3 are very expensive.

There is however a new caveat to consider: Sa-58.

Now Scav weapons are very repairable and actually runnable after being repaired. Sa-58s run for about 45k on the flea market and sometimes you find OSW variants with a few mods for cheap. They are not incredible but serviceable with BCP FMJ which in my honest opinion is better than TCW if you consider blunt damage and armor damage (they deal 88 flesh at 31 pen which is not too shabby at all).

If you use them as a battlerifle/DMR.
Slap a rail on top, a decent foregrip and an M11 break for decent single fire performance. If you feel like you can buy a Red Muzzle break for about 15k on the flea do it for a good recoil reduction,not too cheap but not too expensive.

It's not a perfect platform but still somewhat cheap with full auto for super close range. Still functionally worse than any 7.62x39 weapon (due to mod availability) but not a terrible choice either for diversity.

Every wipe you provide us the best weapon builds. It is kind of useless for me because I'm always bankrupt between level 15 to 40 trying to upgrade the hideout and questing...

What do y'all do for armor early levels? I'm lvl 14 so I still only have access to the 1 per reset rig from Ragman and obviously the other shitty armors.

The new ammo changes Will definitely extend fights and I think it will be interesting. Makes me think 5.45 are the sleeper picks from pp now having 37pen.

I think it only being worth it to run snipers if they can use 7.62x54R. I’m guessing we’ll see about more m856a1 tracers. And stuff that shoots PS rounds.

Reddit as a mess with the changes as usual but I’m excited to see how they play out.

I've always enjoyed playing the SVD ever since the first time I grinded punisher 6, many wipes ago.
The changes to scav weapon's max durability and the way they nerfed high tier ammo's availability, makes keeping&playing it so much more attractive!

Is it a "trader weapon build" because you only use the trader and not the flea market or found in raid items? cos some of your picks arnt the best for recoil

Worth noting that the KAC front sight (or any front iron sight) works really well on the MP7 especially for night runs with nvgs

pro tip. can get 2 gas an off flee for 15-17K then use those to get an RFB

Am I a fool for going with the PP-19? Lol. I mean you can get the gun and all mods for a barter of a gp coin and a roller (70k). That's so cheap! And then of course use ap6.3. The two cons would be limited to 30 round clips and fire rate a little slow.

Its annoying how they removed 9x19 PBP, .45 AP, 9x21 BT and 5.7 SS190 from traders but they allow you to get 4.6x30 FMJ at level 3 traders that out perform all the rounds I just mentioned.

Can't really make any silenced AK builds at trader level 3 unless you're able to get through Gunsmith Part 17, which uses guns and parts that are locked behind quests and traders deep into the 40 levels. You can make the builds but that cnc warrior adapter alone would cost 30k+.

54r has equal rounds at lv 2 and 3 traders anyway

Apparently 9x21 PS got moved to Prapor Level 4 while I was uploading this. Kind of sucks, but PE GZH was still really fun IMO for leg meta runs.

Will update this if our trusty MP7 ammo gets hit next...
