3 WEIRD UK FISHING LAWS THAT STILL EXIST TODAY!

Well i did catch fish to eat only . Never like the eel so did not fish for them . Well salmon and sea trout . i have had them and they are very good to eat . But i have got them from the sea not a river. So no one will tell me i cannot eat what i catch as i do eat what i did catch for the sea . Whale , Porpoise.. not for me too big for a start, but the Sturgeon ,well fish eggs come to mind .. Not for me so the King is welcome to that lot, Thank You.

Eels are protected in the uk and should always be returned. Or am I mistaken?
