It always feels so good to save money. I’m out of town today. I just went to a Salvation Army store. I got a lamp, 6 T-shirts, a pair of jeans, a pair of tennis shoes and a movie for $21.00!! I’m so happy.

Wow! What great savings! My options are limited to a local grocery store (which has great products but has become super expensive) or Walmart where I am but when we have appointments about an hour away I stock up at Costco!

I love going to aldi I hit aldi almost every week. I had allergy testing done a year ago and found out I am actually allergic to some of the green and blue dyes so I decided to cut all dyes out of my diet for the most part and aldi is a great place to get dye free things my aon likes Crunchberry cereal and I get the milleville generic and they use anato and tumeric, beet juice in the cereal my daughter said it looked real palebut the taste was good so I will say yes to no dyes and my son is autistic and for him its better to be dye free are we perfect no but we have made big changes. Aldi has dye free jello that is great too. Anyways great haul I am comparing prices like crazy now I bought eggs at walmart the other day and paid $5.49 a dozen for walmart great value eggs and wanted to cry but we use eggs alot in my house I have a dairy and beef allergy from a tick bite so eggs is a big source protein in my diet. I wish we had Aldi near us. The closest one right now is 2 hours away.

How can that possibly be your shopping for the week with all those kids. I guess it’s a lot cheaper in Texas or you really know how to budget. In the northeast you bring home a half a bag for that much money. Do you have a Costco as that would be your best option for a large family.

As much as I’d like an Aldi or an heb all we have close by is a Safeway and Walmart that’s 45 minutes away! I’ve been trying to stay away from dyes as well because I too notice a difference in my children’s behavior.

We live in a small town and have one store which is expensive. Since we homeschool we spend a lot of time going to the next big town over. Which is an hour away. So weekly, I get to do a Sams , Heb, and Walmart pickup. Being able to pick which store has the best price item really helps out. We have pretty much quit buying eggs. East Texas is almost $9 a dozen. 😢

I'm 71 years old and live alone.
I live on my Social Security retirement check which isn't that much.
I enjoy shopping at Aldi's because you can get meat in bulk.
Their prices are quite a bit lower that Walmart's for many things.
I really enjoy their canned goods and they taste as good to me as the name brand ones.

Aldi does offer some great deals on good quality food items. Typically I have to go to at least one other store in order to fill in what I can't get from Aldi, but it's really become one of my favorite stores. HEB is awesome for many things, though! :o)

Yes groceries are going up up up with no signs of them coming down. Feeding a big family is costly, but you make do. Can’t always keep things as healthy as would like but if they have full bellies that’s a tick in my book x
