Hi David, Thank you so much for you and sharing your 🐝 knowledge! I have been beeping for 3 years and still learning. I have one hive with dark frames a smell. All the characteristics of afb? Just need advice. I know the only way to fix is to burn hive. Any other suggestions or help.

Also had a swarm yesterday afternoon after watching your video with new beekeeper. You had many Queen cells. I captured them and put them in hive that was low bee count. They seem super happy. I do have a ball of bee’s left in tall pine tree. Will they make it through the night? Thank you

Hi David, i have to take off my formic pro this weekend and also my honey supers regardless of capped or not, if the moisture content is above 18% im going to use a dehumidifier to bring the moisture content down.

This year the bees told me don't you dare wear shorts while you're in our hive. Luckily, they weren't in the stinging mood. I'd still rather take a couple stings than wear a veil, but it's always within reach, just in case.

Hi David, my name is Sasha (male). I am from Melbourne Australia, a first year beekeeper with 4 hives. I keep 2 of them in my backyard and 2 other at my work. Thank you for the videos. I like and enjoy the way to explain things. I have learned a lot from your videos. I have 2 questions for you.

Q1: It is our very early spring. There are good amount of flowers in our area and bees bring heaps of pollen in. When i walk in the neighbourhood, i can see my bees covering my neighbours trees and flowers (best feel ever). Does that mean they have access to nectar too and I do not need to feed them anymore? 2 of my hives are double brood, 2 of them singe brood, all strong and healthy with some food stored in their hives. Can I put the supers on? Or is it too early? Temperature is around 18 c during the day and around 6 c at night.

Q2: How many hives with drone is needed in one area to make sure there is enough drone available for a virgin queen? Let's ask it this way, imagine there are only and only 2 hives available in one area let's name them Hive A and Hive B (imagine no other colonies available). Both hives have some drones. If Hive A decides to raise a new queen the only drone bees available for Virginia queen from Hive A would be drones from Hive B. Is that enough? Or in order to have a strong mated queen, there should be multiple colonies available in the area with drones?

Hey David. Note: if you break that propolis seal for hive inspection in fall make sure you are ready to kill hive beetles in jail. Hive beetles are a pain.
