Is it just me or is there a major problem with the sound on this video?...like an echo or two identical soundtracks running together but out of sync?

Hey Chris, great vid, as usual, don't beat yourself up, lighting can be a royal pain, even for those who have done it for a while. Practice makes perfect, so don't give up, keep soldering on, never be afraid to try new things, and never tell yourself, 'I can't.'

Chris, your fibre optics snapped because you super glued them.which melts them. You should of used PVA glue. Also the lighting kit for the corridors is massively out of scale and way to bright, those corridor lights should have a subtle glow, fibre optics in there would be a much better option. The main corridor lighting actually emulate from under the floor. :-)

You will find the fiber optic strands broke off because if you glued them will super glue, the glue will make the fiber brittle and break off. Use a canopy glue.

I can totally sympathise when it comes to FO Lighting. First time I did it (Viper mk3), taught me so much. it is rewarding, but needs far more thought than anyone might anticipate (white PVA glue, and never a hot-melt glue gun which melted my FO wires). Well done for sticking with it sir.

FYI super glue or CA will eat through fiber optics, I always use low temp hot glue.

why your fiber-optic breaks is that you used superglue on it. CA will cause fiber-optic to become brittle. first bloom the ends of the fiber with a lighter. insert it into your hole from the front side then apply elders glue to the back side. Elders dries clear and is Simi flexible also the fiber will not become brittle.

I enjoy your vids, but oh boy I physically shudder every time I see that splayed out glue brush. It makes me physically nervous.

If I was you I'd try and redo the corridor lighting - making all the led's the same distance behind the lights for evenness of illumination. I'd also put the led's a little further back to lower the overall light level (I know you have the dimmer n there but there is a difference between a dimmed light and one that is at full brightness but further back).

As someone else below commented, subtlety is the key. I quite like the nav-com, it's not overdone with dozen's of multi-coloured constantly flashing lights that give a very 'artificial' or 'toy' look to the piece. Again, subtlety is best. Its not supposed to look like 'disco night' on the Falcon (:

I am sorry the lights didn't turn out as you wanted, but I commend you for sharing the process and especially the results. Not everyone would do this. I appreciate that you did.

I still think the lighting looks great and this is uniquely your Falcon. I agree that people should make it their own, with their own "Special Modifications" as a certain smuggler once said.

Hello Chris, I have been watching your videos avidly since I started the Falcon Deagostini collection, however I have not started the build and every part is still in it's packaging. I am now both very excited and sad the collection is about to end. Excited so I can start the construction of my Falcon but sad there will be no more videos from yourself. So Just wanted to say how engrossed and enthralled I have been with eager anticipation on the release of your build videos. Thank you very much for your time taken to submit the videos and all the advice, tips and suggestions you have offered. I cannot wait to see your finished Falcon.

As Yoda says " Do, or do not. There is no try." I think you have done a great job with the lighting. All credit to you.

Hi Chris! I have followed this build from the beginning...and I have to say that I am super impressed with it! Don't be too hard on yourself about the lighting....seeing though this is your first time at such a big project, I would say this is a very successful build indeed! Can't wait to see the finished Falcon!! Keep up the good work! :)
