Essential Stardew Valley Mods THAT NEED TO BE IN THE BASE GAME

Maybe more like a Sanbox mode. So like CJB cheat menu, harvest with the scythe, the UI mod and some others all turned into a sanbox mode to try stuff out.

if you hold down right click after petting the first animal you can hover your cursor on the others and cause them to all pet without accedently opening the stats check

I think tractor will make the game boring and easier

What list of mods are you using? About to start a game with my kids and really enjoyed a lot of the mods you've talked about so far. Hoping for a full list.

One of my most useful mods is the search mod. You can look up everything you want about anything in the game without having to pull up your phone or another Google tab! This includes NPC birthdays, how long until kegs and crops are ready, favorite gifts, etc. Its super helpful!!

Things I want added to the base game not mentioned:

1. Different horse, cow, pig, sheep, duck, chicken, and goat breed options (doesn’t need to produce anything different, just different colors/patterns, and maybe different feather lengths on the chickens and such)

2. Pet birds. I just want a pet bird in my house 😂 would be really cool if it could sit on your shoulder or head.

3. Recolor options. Like just add a little drop down thingy in settings where you can choose from 3-5 different recolors.

4. More dialogue!

Recently picked up Stardew Valley on PC so I can Mod it till its dead! But after Stardew Valley Expanded, Ridgeside Valley and East Scarp at once and gave my PC a heart attack. I'd decided to cut down and go for smaller simpler mods. 3/4 of this vid is a god-send!

I saw the tractor mod before and I thought against it until I just saw it in action. Now I just downloaded the mod and even the scythe mod. I just played so many hours on the ps4 and I'm going back on the PC. I deserve to have it a bit easier.

I think I need that part of the community mod... I hate grinding friendship with everyone.

i used to have a huge farm (main farm and ginger island combined 1400 tiles for farm) but i made it wayyyy smaller just cuz its sooooo tiring to harvest those plants , it takes 30-40 mins to fully harvested

How to mod scythe harvesting?

i definitely wish the scythe harvesting was part of the actual game, when my big crops are ready i always sort of sigh because it is sooo boring and takes so long to harvest it all. the scythe speeds it up just enough and it is actually fun using the scythe.
he other thing i always wish is that the Java Ring had been a ring that actually permanently gives you the coffee speed boost, that would have been such a great ring.

I don't think I really need "scythe harvesting". in the early game, we don't plant that much and we have junimo hut in the endgame. also time speed, tractor, jump mod is not essential, it's cheating.

All of the mods shown here are useful and I think it should be on the main game, for the animals and farming consume times too much. All the others are useful too.

I use the tractor mod. Plus skull cavern elevator, ladder locator, UI info suite two, convenient inventory and automate as far as my QOL mods go.

I saw all the wonderful things people did in this game and got it to play myself. But every single day is so short, it feels like pressurizing than relaxing to play the game! Sometimes I wanna sit back and relax, but if there is a ticking timer over my head that constantly hinders my ability to go about doing my daily thing, I just cannot be comfortable. I legit stopped playing the game just because of this rushing feeling. I wish the daily time was not so short in the game, or better yet, there was no timer at all!

Half of the listed features are in 1.6, with little adjustments, but still:
scythe harvest -> iridium scythe
chest labels -> text signs
seasonal outfits
show item price -> new book

Wait 2 more years to get the tractor :D

Well now a lot of these mods exist in the new 1.6 update. The scythe harvest, the price of items, seasonal clothing and item name. Cheerios SV community. 😄😁

so happy that update 1.6 made some of these mods (Scythe Harvesting, Winter Outfits, Price Catalogue) part of the base game :)
