The last command " systemctl restart apache2.service "
should be replaced with " /etc/init.d/apache2 restart "

the previous command is no longer functioning

So I've followed your guide with success, however when I restart the server/VM, I am getting localhost 500 internal server error. How are you supposed to properly shutdown the server, and restart it without having to remove apache2, adding it back and setting up the configuration again?

Followed this guide (great guide by the way) i can connect to the nextcloud server within my own LAN. When i try to connect outside my network i get a "404 not found nginx" error. I'm thinking apache but i am very very new to Linux. Any ideas? Thanks

It really is no that easy to configure when you're starting with servers and discorvering the admin install manual from nextcloud (which is nice, but not so straight forward).
