Good video. Was interested since your last post.
ОтветитьThanks for the honest feedback!
ОтветитьProps for trying em, and being honest!
ОтветитьI will tell you - I was sweating like 5 turns in. The weight really throws you off.
ОтветитьYou look so uncomfortable and rigid on every turn
ОтветитьWow Adam, thank you so much for the honest review.
ОтветитьProps for going out and actually suffering for multiple runs. Would have been really funny if it ripped but hardly a shock(heh)ing result.
Ответитьi feel like you could ding the shaft of the shock with the edges a bunch and cause some problems.
ОтветитьPlease demo them on Vishnu Wet 189s
ОтветитьThis is without a doubt, in the top 5 most stupid ski inventions ever made.
ОтветитьIt's simple physics that says "If the ski can put less force into your foot, then your foot can also put less force into the ski."
ОтветитьThis is blatantly trying to fix something that isn't broken.
ОтветитьSeems like just a lot of weight and deadening of the ski. Thanks for trying them out!
ОтветитьThis still might be satire.
ОтветитьLooks like those binding/shock will cause new injuries to the leg....my opinion...
ОтветитьIt’s not uncommon, when you fall, and have a ski release, that ski either hits you or you land on it, I would hate to land with my ribs on that shock, or have that thing come back and hit me in the face. The binding is bad enough.
ОтветитьWhy do you turn?
DO you press on your outside ski or do you stand on it?
The whole idea is to put your input into the Skis unmitigated, this is Bass Ackwards.
ОтветитьRespect for putting yourself self out there on this one! Great video
ОтветитьSince as far back as the 1980s when I got into racing there are gimmicks like this that come out every so often. They add weight that ski designers have not accounted for in the ski design so it mess with vibration dampening and swing weight and many other aspects of ski behaviour. Then, lots of them have mounting points like this one that are way out in front and back of the bindings - this creates a LOOOOOOOONNNG flat spot in the middle of your ski so flex is crap. Add in a giant tower that can jab you in your butt on landings... sorry, this one's definitely not for me.
ОтветитьIf someone wants to innovate like this, put a damper in the binding spring like a coil shock. Could potentially have an actual impact on edge hold and ride quality without needing to cost $4k and skiing like garbage.
ОтветитьAPRIL FOOLS ?
ОтветитьThe whole purpose/experience of skiing is carving turns like a sports car. Why would you want to deaden the responsiveness and make it like riding a cruise ship? Lifting the boot so high above the ski massively reduces the quickness from edge to edge and now you have to exagerrate knee anglulation to get the same edge angle on the slope- which is entirely the wrong technique for carving.
That being said, this device may have applications for adaptive skiing athletes where shock absorption is needed to prevent further injury.
Nope, keep it simple. That looks like an expensive problem waiting to happen
ОтветитьWe have shock absorbers. I call them "legs".
ОтветитьThese look stupid, the shocks have so much travel but it never seems to get used, nor does it seem possible to use the whole travel so to me this looks like a gimmick and it did get views. Thanks for trying them out!
Ответить1. If you’re going to demonstrate a ski product, learn how to ski.
2. Guess how well this would work if you need to set an edge. Hint, f**kn’ poorly.
3. Is this cool? Decidedly not.
4. Who will this help? Maybe those who would rather “look good” skiing as opposed to being a good skier.
5. Who asked for this? Hint, not anyone with any pride.
To your credit, you didn’t endorse it, but just put it away…. Really, just step away.
We have something out west called "powder"
ОтветитьI think it’s a marketing gimmick to draw attention and sell more MTB products
ОтветитьLooks comfortable lmao
Ответитьif Pro's dont use it, its pointless
Ответитьfor someone living in Austria 🇦🇹... it was very difficult to watch a FISCHER SKI being raped.
The FIS has banned binding plates that are too high for good reason.
Absolutely stupid invention that will never work😳
Zero movement in the shock while skiing. Useless piece of crap.
ОтветитьThis seems like a terrible idea. You might as well design a ski boot designed around a 2" thick memory foam footbed. Same terrible result but at least it would be lighter and less bulky
ОтветитьHow did someone think REDUCING feedback between the snow and the ski was good?
ОтветитьHmm, if you drop the front piece, put it on a pinbinding front, and just have the back piece as a damper/shock it could probs be fun for jumps? I guess.
ОтветитьCant wait for J Skis to parody this technology April fools day!
ОтветитьWho asked for this lololo
ОтветитьThe guy seemed totally miserable man…😂
Ответитьwhen is tele version dropping??
ОтветитьMajor kudos team for getting out there and pushing the boundaries of something new! Mad respect for all the hard work and prep. This is all part of the process, ya doing the industry WORK!! Keep at it!
ОтветитьDude just tele.
-Tele Craw
Technik ersetzt kein sportliches "Können"
ОтветитьThey are not running any sag. They need to sit in the travel so when you get in the air they have more travel to damper. Also it will help keep traction when you are lightly loading during a turn. Just like a mtb.
Ответитьseems that suspension makes you lean backward. also whats with the wrong ski....
Ответитьno
ОтветитьPlease share the particulars of the video set up. I really appreciate what it takes to get video footage and production that was put into this video.
