For the faint hearted, a gentler method is to run hot water over the tank lid so as to soften the sealing O-ring. Check this by seeing if you can rotate the cog in the lid. Then slip a knife under the cog and gently lever out!

Hello will is this cog the 1505 ? Will it fits in 1520 tank top ? And with this cog can you use the tank without cover it ? Is it open to pur out the chems without removing anything ?

Put it in very hot water first for a few minutes. It then pops out way easier and consequently lowers the risk of damage.
