REVIEW: CAT S61 Laser Measurement Tool

Hi, it's great to see reviews of the cat s61. There are little to no other videos on this.
One thing I would love to see you cover is the accuracy of the laser tool. Is 4' really 4' in real life or is it more like 4.5' or 3.8'. Are horizontal and vertical distances equally accurate, and is the distance to wall measurement accurate?

I look forward to future videos on the cat s61.

Why didn't you show calibration of this tool?

Good review, again. I found it accurate, to within .30 of an inch, on the plus side. Not bad. The only issue I have is, when you put it against a wall to measure to another wall, you can't see the screen and therefore, I can't guide the dot finder. I have no idea if the phone sees the dot, until I take the pic with the volume key. It's useful, at those rare moments I'm without a measuring tape.

Why do some CAT S61 phones show 10m next to the laser on the back and some show 8m ?

How to setting laser measure for s61?

I find the biggest problem with this laser measurement tool is if lighting is not good, the camera which the app relies on, won't focus correctly and give an inaccurate reading. In optimal conditions, I've had it give me a spot on measurement. Not reliable if you want accurate spot on measurements.

cat phones suck, I have had a S60 for about 4 years now. its been nothing but headache. touch screen and typing problem. why don't you talk about having to send the phone out to the other side of US or in your case maybe England for warranty repair. they suck, suck, suck.
*also the stupid manufacturer had gone and made the inter-phase "English", meaning buttons and what they do are on the opposite side of where they would be on every other phone.this does nothing but makes life difficult for everyone. junk junk junk. I wonder when these dumbasses are going to give this shit up. it's the same as if all of a sudden you would have to shit from your belly button for no apparent reason but, the fact that it is made in England.
*Or how about that slow slow slow indecisive focus on the camera. by thetime you take a picture the moment has come and gone or it will be completely out of focus.

can you use this laser as a rangefinder? or is it only good for close measurements?
