Why would you build a car like this and not test out the performance????
Ответитьyou should pull a holeshot what that mean 55 always love your shows keep this one up you were right about the 442 emblem colors were factory I had to 65 convertible that had the 331 3-speed I paid $15 it was meant I had car stashed all over Lynn Mass in the 60s wolf 🐺
ОтветитьItalian junk 572 crate motor Chevy put some Italian junk under the hood un American
ОтветитьNice color
ОтветитьDrive the wheels off it because that's the only way you will get your money back it's cool but he destroyed an old classic I'd wouldn't even guess how much money he put in this car and time 😬
ОтветитьThis car is a sedan not a coupe. I thought jay was a car guy.
ОтветитьIll never understand this mentality. I want a 55 Belair but im not using the chassis or motor and im modifying the body too. Why even start with an actual 55 Belair? The original could have been restored and th v12 thing could have probably been made cheaper using reproduction body parts. Oh I'm never going to drive it because I'm afraid of something breaking... 🤦it actually makes me sick
Ответить55-56-57 were my favorite years of Chevrolet. With honorable mention going to 61 & 63 Impalas.
ОтветитьBeautiful car. They forgot to mention the owner lives in a cardboard box. :)
ОтветитьCool think everyone can drive it because it's automatic 👍
ОтветитьTropical turquoise is one hell of a color
ОтветитьAutomobiles are meant to be used, if you dont hit the rev limit on a car or motorcycle every now and again why bother
ОтветитьIt looks like a stick with that shifter, ironically back then if you wanted a manual it came with a column shifter
Beautiful car !!
Love it. 👍
ОтветитьThat's a great car jay is great host just like tonight show by car guys
ОтветитьAs usual, Jay has problems keeping his lane. Is it due to a bad sight?
ОтветитьJay such a good guy. Helping with the running problem with the fuel. Those aren't always easy to diagnose. Definitely easier when one is the one driving.
ОтветитьJay doesn’t seem to stay in any one lane. I think he uses the line for aiming! 😎
ОтветитьLove to own a Belair
ОтветитьLove that car,I will get it some day.
Ответить15/10 🫶🫶
ОтветитьThat teacher seems a little nervous. Gouge on it Jay
ОтветитьAmazing all of the modifications that were made and yet it still has an almost stock appearance.
ОтветитьBest looking cars ever built. When I was a teenager, my dad was a Chevy mechanic, he had a green and white 56 station wagon, my sister had a black 4 door 56 belair and my brother had a 56 green and white two door 210 post
ОтветитьNice stance what size wheels
ОтветитьOriginally is better.
ОтветитьThe Whatthehaye build ran a Viper V10.
ОтветитьGreat build!
ОтветитьI don't see that thing making 600 horsepower on any day.... Plus they make Holley 390 CFM 4 barrels.
Kind of struggled like a worn-out 305.
Gorgeous but should be manual.
ОтветитьTHE MOST OERFWCT CHEVY EVER BUILT INDEED ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
I'M A PROUD OF A 57 BEL AIR SEDAN WITH BLUE FLAME ENGINE MY SELF I'M LUV7NG UN SWEDEN AND NOW THIS CARS COMPLETE LIFELUNE I'M THE THERD OWNWR FROM BRAND NEW 1957 WRIGHT TO ME IF YOU WHANT MORE DETAILS WISH U TE BEST SEE U LATER WE'LL WE MEET AGAIN
my friend gave me ride in 55 chevy bel air today and wow its credible! sounds so amazing
ОтветитьRIDICULOUS . Stock with a nice 9.5 to 1 265 , borg warner 3 spd with o.d. is sane . The hubris shown here by the owner is disgusting 👎
ОтветитьThe 55 Chevy was a sharp car, but I would prefer it stock with the original 265 V8 and 3 speed manual transmission.
ОтветитьWhen I was a little kid in the 80s my farthers friend had a 55 he let me drive in along Revere Beach it was awesome.
ОтветитьBeautiful!!!!
ОтветитьHad 55 Chevy 4dr Sedan the exact same color in HS in 1963.
ОтветитьThats not a Belair, its a 210 two door post sedan.
Ответить"That's 10 gallons per the mile." HAHAHA
ОтветитьToo over built , too much money !
He paid to have it built, didn't even build anything himself.
He's talking about selling it. Won't even begin to recover the money he's got in it !
I HAD A '55 TWO DOOR SPORT COUPE AND THIS AIN'T IT A COUPE IS A COUPE AND A "SEDAN" IS A SEDAN... NOT A POST. GET EDUCATED.
ОтветитьWow Im impressed at the install, so clean!
Those headers are a work of art, talk about a bundle of snakes!
Love cars that are a little different
What is it with all the hateful bs comments?
Nobody builds a car like this with that much power and start hammering on it, gotta get used to it, work the bugs out etc.
If hes not a wrench it could cost a TON to fix, repair tune etc.
Teachers salary isnt great for building cars give the guy a break.
Owner...call Westech in SOcal. Those are the guys who have the ability to tune it perfectly and can be trusted with this. Dont listen to the troll comments. Guarantee they havent sacrificed for many yrs building thier dream build then thrash it like a hand me down Tonka truck.
Jay, what is the horsepower on this four-wheel beast.
ОтветитьHe can easily check if over carbeurated on a dyno
ОтветитьOne should fully enjoy the power of a v12. Go jay!
ОтветитьThis guy is such a SCHWABEN! This is the kind of guy that asks his wife for permission to go to the toilet! I'm glad Leno kept driving that car like it should. Why would you get a big engine just to show it off and not use it?
ОтветитьBreathtaking!!!
