Students at Temple are not surprised about night of armed robbery, home invasion

Of course not...it's in the middle of north Philly 🙄

Temple can't do what Penn did back in the 90s. They don't have the resources. They don't have a lot of rich alums. They clearly don't have the pull to attract competent leadership.

When Sam C was murdered last year, his department chair very smugly surmised that "Sam would NOT be in favor of increased police presence on campus." So this is what the Temple students are dealing with: faculty and administration that are more committed to their warped politics than to student safety. The only way to respond to this is to not enroll in Temple.

Nobody should go to a college in the middle of a warzone. It's suicide.

Increased diversity and equity will make Temple much safer.

Why would parents in their right mind allow their children to attend school in that SHIT HOLE area? "It's sad we have to live in this environment". Translated - It's the "They" factor. "They" ruin everything. EVERYTHING!

At Temple in the 1990s and 2000s, I studied there; we were all robbed at gun point. Robbery was common. However, violence was rare.

When you're too stupid to realize that your school needs to be doing for the community that its constantly consuming, you might say stupid things like "a college atmosphere". Temple is in the hood..duh. when you come to the hood and take away from the nothing that they already have, these are the problems you create for yourselves. Adding police wont change anything. Police dont prevent crime, they just make you feel safer...these people pay so much to go to school and still vant comprehend reality, thats why reality keeps slapping them.
