If OC Arthur Smith continues to tailor the offense to the "New Russell Wilson" ('new' in that Wilsons' game is transitioning to less running-around ad-lib kind of quarterbacking to a 'distribute the ball to everybody' kind of attack, it can be overwhelming. They have three or four tight ends that are very good pass catchers, a dynamic #1 WR in George Pickens, an up-and-coming #2 in Calvin Austen, three backs that also pass-catch well, Wilson can be in QB Heaven.

He went to dinner with Payton, who apparently fed him a load of BS and then he ranted "washed" for a year. I didn't watch the podcast, just came to point that out.

While everyone was yelling at Tomlin to “Stay with the winning QB!” MT was thinking… “don’t fall for the banana in the tailpipe folks” , “I can line up a duck in a helmet at QB and scratch out wins”. More so than wins, Tomlin was looking for a level of QB play driving an offense that would be competitive in Jan. in the AFC and even the most ardent JF supporters couldn’t cosign that. In truth, RW’s 2nd season in Denver was as good or better than what the Steelers have had at QB (including JF) the last three seasons

So he thinks 6 of 7 teams in the AFC will win a playoff game? No wonder he gets a lot right.

the list of things Colin was wrong about is way longer,. Btw, Wilson has a resume to prove he's a better QB than Justin. People just cheered for Justin because they felt sorry for him. GOod guy, who was highly drafted. And people think his flaws is because of something the Bears didnt do. But truth is Justin was never built to be a franchise QB. He showed flaws in college .year 2 at OSU> and anyone who watched college ball knew this. Bears drafted him too high. Justin issue has nothing to do with coaching (even Tomlin and his crew couldn't help fix Justin inabilities) Some players just have it, some dont. why cant people just admit this???

What I don't understand is how Colin is saying Pittsburgh is middle tier team. We are top tier team that hasn't even got going due to injuries and a long season. Pittsburgh isn't a full throttle team from start to finish in the regular season. We understand the season is long and know we need to take shots at times to get ahead. But I feel we are treated with so much disrespect and are hated by way too many. We don't get the credit that is deserved. Its sad. 6 rings and still don't get the credit that is well deserved. Mike Tomlin is an amazing coach has mastered consistency of winning and does need to take the next step and continue to win SBs but I think the difference is he has a GM now that is giving him what is needed to win now and silence the doubters. I see so much more hate about to come out against the Steelers because of their success and like it's said let the haters hate, because we will use it against them to thrive. I look forward to the Christmas day game against KC because when Pittsburgh does beat KC and do it in style it's going to cause a major uproar in the NFL and the media. Russ has been QB#1 from start, I don't know where people get the notion the Justin was QB#1. No disrespect to Justin he is a good Quarterback but if you truly watch his game Russ shows you the difference in what he can do on the field in the passing game that makes a difference and deciphers the who can make it happen. Justin's passing game needs work and needs more confidence to throw passes in tight spots and make better reads. Not saying that he can't but he needs work. I want to see Justin as our future long term answer but he needs to work on his craft. But I will say this, Russ got his groove back and I am glad he is a Steeler.
