His family and y'all are going to be held accountable for being involved in the Freemason Illuminati Epstein Network too and y'all are going to give back what you stole from me as well
ОтветитьI am a huge Warrant fan but Cherry Pie has run its course. Terrible overplay even on the hair metal channels today, whenever it comes on, I skip to the next track
ОтветитьJani liked writing songs with meaning and cherry pie didn’t have it. He understood that the songs needed a sleazy hook back then. But it wasn’t a song that was gonna touch his soul.
ОтветитьThis is the funniest interview ever
ОтветитьCherry Pie guy seems more blueberry here!
ОтветитьI lost it when he said he’s doing Cherry Pie eating contests 😂
ОтветитьAnyone remembers when the singer said some rock band had sex with him that's why he killed himself
Ответитьcherry pie was a great song. Fuk you writer man. Rip bro
ОтветитьIts a great catchy song and fun video! Its a bummer he hated it because his fans love it❤
Ответитьis ok jani lane, i once showed my hemroid butthole to a photographer for $200.
we have to share our gifts, you know.
Saw Warrant open for Poison. Great show, great band.
ОтветитьJesus ele tinha mudado muito
ОтветитьUr fans love u and we always will
ОтветитьMiss ya janie
Ответить“Uncle Toms cabin” album name offended the liberal music higher ups. That’s why they did that to him. It’s not the job of music exes at music labels to change the name of music albums without consent of the artist. If they had a problem with the name they could have simply told him to change the name of the album but at the end of the day they are cowards and love to play stupid games with peoples careers.
ОтветитьHe hated the song because it made him a joke as a musician!he became a fucking slave to his own creation!they have better songs!
ОтветитьJani Lane wanted Warrant to be more substantial than the typical generic hair metal airhead, the record company buried him long-term.
ОтветитьWho remembers that after this, VH1 played Cherry Pie over the credits lmao come on guys😂
ОтветитьHe just threw a triple 6 hand sign!
ОтветитьWhat vh1 special is this from?
ОтветитьHes right! Cherry pie killed the bands reputation.
ОтветитьHey wasn't he the guy who did cherry pie?
Ответить"if im lying im dying"..welp..u lied man
ОтветитьI get the hatred of the sneaky executives. But bro he should have embraced it cherry pie currently has 67 million views man. RIP Jani Lane you was way better than you gave yourself credit. Loved warrant.
Ответитьrough...
ОтветитьJani at the gates of heaven. Saint Peter says: "Hey everyone the Cherry Pie guy is here!"
ОтветитьI'm not a glam music guy I was born in the 80s so the 90s is my error. My favorite song and I know him for is Big talk
ОтветитьYes, Uncle Tom's Cabin is a way cooler song .. But what really annoys the sh*# out of me is the guy calling and telling him that, with the implication 'Aerosmith is better than Warrant; so you got to sound like Aerosmith (And have a song with sexual entender)' - 1. In my estimation, they WEREN'T {inferior to Aerosmith}, and 2nd the record company guys should have just kept their hands off things, and let Jani write from the gut ... I'm sure the record would have done just fine. - Steve
ОтветитьLove how he looks over.
“Im doing cherry pie eating contests… remember? I picked up 13 pounds after that song… i got into the music industry to screw chicks.”
Uncle Tom’s Cabin is their best song
ОтветитьI am sure many artists get tired of playing the same song. And one they may despise. But the song puts food on the table. I truly appreciate what they do. The music industry is tough and cutthroat.
ОтветитьA lot of artists really hate their biggest hits. I can understand why because of how overplayed a lot of them are, but its still crazy hearing their opinions about their most successful songs. 🤘😎🎸🤘
ОтветитьI dont think this dude even realizes how monumentally successful cherry pie became even 30 + years after its release and how important this song is for the glam metal genre and community!!!!! Its like The final countdown single from Europe same thing that huge!!!
We fng needed cherry pie more than we could ever possibly imagine!!!
Jani Lains legacy is not Cherry pie. Its the songs Heaven, I saw Red, Where the down boys go. He was so talented as both a performer and as Song writer. Jani Lain you are very missed by Millions. I know when you crossed the pearly gates into Heaven you found the peace you always deserved. Jani Lain was Warrant without Jani they aren't really Warrant. There a band that pays a lead singer to sing the hits of a Legendary singer and performer check out Jani Lain singing on here Great Whites biggest hit Once bitten twice shy and Jani singing Patience and Purple Rain. This man is and always be a legend so sad to see him suffer the last few years of his life was heartbreaking 💔. I know in Heaven he found the Peace he always deserved.
ОтветитьHe even said himself that he could kill himself for that song. And who did he walk in on with his socalled wife?
ОтветитьGod bless him, they messed him over. Everyone makes mistakes, leave his kids alone. I know whow raped him, ill ill give you one good guess who the priest was
ОтветитьPossibly one of the most gut wrenching heart breaking brutally honest interviews ever given.
May Jani RIP
I wouldn’t had minded had cherry pie been on the album and Uncle Tom’s Cabin been the album title & title track.
ОтветитьYou wrote it. You submitted it. You dined out from the proceeds. No-one held a gun to your head.
ОтветитьNo Jani.
Your legacy is "Heaven".
One of the greatest love songs ever written.
The people who matter know that.
So now you can rest in peace.
While I wasn’t a fan of the song Cherry Pie - Jani is way too hard on himself here. The producers pretty much forced him to write it and it was successful .. he has no reason to feel bad about writing it.
ОтветитьTrue Warrant fans when they think of Warrant instantly think of the power ballad Uncle Toms Cabin. That’s the Warrant I know
ОтветитьThis song shares a lot in common with "Pour Some Sugar On Me" - not only musically, but "Sugar" was also a last second addition to Hysteria because Mutt Lange felt the album needed a crossover hit. And ended up being arguably the band's biggest hit.
ОтветитьHe was a genius songwriter. He wrote the song singlehandedly. Aerosmith needed Desmond Child to write their hits.
ОтветитьSo many bands had to deal with this. A song they tried, they hated and wanted to burn but the record company said no, this will SELL. First of all, Love in an elevator is a POS song, one of the worst songs Aerosmith ever made so to write something to compare to that was embarrassing I'm sure. Yea, it sold but everybody knows Aerosmith, Def leppard with Animal and the godforesaken Pour some Sugar on me and many others sold out to make sappy music for females and left the good ole rock n roll behind. Hell, even Led Zeppelin was starting to go a little sappy towards the end. MONEY will always win over content. I don't believe for a second Jani liked that song. I didn't and thought it was stupid. Obviously he did as you could see the honesty in his eyes. What these record execs didn't see was yea, you were selling to the females but alienating the males the wanted to hear rock. Thank you Judas Priest, Metallica for not caving to this BS genre.
ОтветитьDublin Gaelic football shirt
ОтветитьWell I bought the record the day it came out ...ready for this 9/11 1990 ..and I heard 3 or 4 hits uncle Tom's cabin i saw red and blind faith for starters..cherry pie was a great song ..the band was heavy and melodic with great hooks and Steven Sweets drumming was hard n heavy ..they made sure it was not going to be a cupcake lol..great record!
ОтветитьUp the dubs !!!
ОтветитьPretty Intense comments sometimes you do things cause you can make alot of money doing it but at the end of the day if your not happy it's all Irrelevant.
Ответитьto me, Jani wasn't the "cherry pie guy" all I knew by Warrant as a little kid was the song Heaven which I absolutely loved and still do. I never heard the song Cherry Pie until I saw this spot on VH1. and my first thought was "hey it's the band that does Heaven."
