5 years sober in less then a month.. I don't think I would have made it without this tape, came at divine timing! I didn't see it coming until Bob just described me. Thank you 🙏 can't believe I couldn't see it, very cunning baffling and powerful. Action needed

After 2003 coming into AA Ive had selfishness three times with constant controversy I learned we agnostic real quick like and still after long ago admit things that controversy would have changed but outcomes not. With no hatred just acceptance page 417 being a real need everyday and in every situation where helping others has and will always keep me changing and knowing that others matter more than I any day God as we understood him beats me every day with truth to surrending. Thank you Allen county for not ever forgetting when I was in the wrong and in fear as the book says God as we understood him found me with gratefulness hands tied down.

The new comer is the most import person in a meeting of AA or NA!! I’m grateful for the new comer to remind me it’s still ugly and dark if I pick up again!! Who ever is reading this it’s no mistake stay strong 💪 and stay in recovery!! Keep your faith strong life gets better as time passes keep coming back!! ❤😊

resentment is such a biggie. I used to think a certain person didn't like me and would feel overwhelmed when in fact, that person is as sick as me. Big eureka moment that comes with age.

I wouldn't wish Untreated Alcoholism on my worst Resentment! Im three years abstinent, with patches of real programmed sobriety, but a lot of it spent wrestling depression, self-pity, irritably, etc. This talk is on the money, I have never viewed the Third Step Prayer as a contract before.
I simply want peace of mind and to be there for my children. I'm not choosing the spiritual nourishment at present and that's a shame, because I deserve it.
Pray for me and I'll pray for you.

Suffering sometimes in my life was so overpowering as to drown out all hope. But when I asked for help from an AA person he stepped in and took me to a meeting and as I listened to the stories of these recovering men I saw there was a chance for a new way of life.
I saw it in the animated faces of men helping other men find their courage to change one day at a time.
Thanks Bob D.

I heard this for the first time in 2019. I’ve listened to it many times since then. 4 months and 24 days. Need to hear this on the regular. Have a sponsor. Working the steps. Asking God to keep me sober in the morning and thanking Him at night.

I love listening to Bob D. I've been listening to one of his talks everyday in the morning as I'm getting ready for work, and sometimes while I'm at work when I can get away with it.
I'm so grateful to have such wise people in our program that see AA as a way of live, and not just something you do for 1hr a week. We Do Recover! ODAAT! 💜

Got my 24hr chip this morning after being sober for four years. Thought I could go back out and drink like a normal person. That was 4 years ago. Long story short, didn’t work. But I came back and that’s what I am relying on.

Bob-i was in jail with no one else to call for help. Ahh but you did have someone to call for help. And get out of self.

Others- I had a million friends, all would turn their back when I went to far drinking. Got out of self.

Me-absolutely no one to call for help...did I used too? Sure they were relationships...beyond that...there's never been anyone in my life that has ever been like "ya know jesse if you didn't drink it'd be so much better!" NO! I've heard "if you weren't trying so hard" I'm fucking sober had people tell me that when I walk into work, they roll their eyes and say "fuck me" and I don't get it! My problem isn't alcohol! I'm not even drinking when people hate me! They hate me sober!

ALL I HAVE IS ME.

We are victims of the delusion that we can rest. As alcoholics, sometimes we feel we “did enough” but then we aren’t satisfied with the outcome because WE took time off. Over thinking when not focused while on a weak foundation can lead to justifications of why we can have this drink. I understand why getting to as many meetings possible early is important. I have no urge to drink. But I could have fallen back into my old ways of “I got this shit” if I weren’t in AA
