Love, love, love zinnias! I grew them for the first time in my garden last year and I could not believe how long they lasted. So excited to learn that you plant them too and I am looking forward to seeing your blooming flower garden. Good times!

It's going to be beautiful. I had the same problem with thick grass in the same area of my house. The grass was thick and overwhelming and I'd clean spots off to put zinnias in. they over took the thick grass and they would always stay until November and I usually had to tie them to the porch because they would be over 5 feet tall. Mexican sunflowers are good too!

Chickens always ruin gardens. The little rascals they are. I made a fodder box for my chickens to eat. It keeps them busy foraging with it.

Theres a family farm in Pa that raises lots of chickens & they have 6 giant greenhouses.
SOMEHOW, some chickens got out & got into one of the GH and the birds tore thru
HUNDREDS of tender little starts. That night, the family had chicken for supper.
