Whilst expensive, the great thing about a well trained Border Collie is that, while the drone does exactly what you tell it to do, the Border Collie does what you actually wanted.
Drone is only as smart as you are.
Border Collie is smarter.

I grew up on sheep stations in the north-west of Western Australia and if there is one thing I learned about sheep at a young age is you don't drive them at a dead run. You just keep them at a steady walking pace. If you try to push them along, there's a good chance they'll panic and scatter.
