How did you get the part models in halves to begin with?
ОтветитьSo for the 2% shrinkage with a core do you need to make the core bigger than desired to shrink to the right size or do you keep the core the size you want the final hole?
Ответитьrealy great to watch, hypnotic id even say!
ОтветитьGreat video, very informative!! I had a question regarding something towards the start of the video. You stated "A 2% shrinkage allowance has been added to the pattern dimentions", now if someone is making an exact copy of an very intricate item (the original can not be altered) how would you compensate for the % loss in size? In some instances, is a exact 1:1 copy just not possible? Thank you for any information you can give...this has puzzled me since I start looking into casting
ОтветитьI would like to sand cast a set of deer antlers. is it possible to do? If so how
ОтветитьI simply can not understand how you could receive a negative comment, or dislike. Your skills, information, and video are brilliant. Thank you.
ОтветитьGreat stuff but I wish you would talk to us.
ОтветитьWhere do you source your casting sand?
Ответитьsir.. I'm a mechanical engineering student. ... and your videos are very much usefull to me... thank you...
ОтветитьHow is the pattern made?
ОтветитьHi, I really like your videos and this is really useful as I would like to do this as a hobby in the future. Just wondering at 8.21, when you were locating the core, how did you make sure the core didn't make contact with the outer shell so the metal could flow through the whole mould?
Thank you very much for putting up the video, i really enjoyed it.
You are the master.
ОтветитьDear Sir, Will you be kind enough to let me know the composition of casting sand (ingradients & prosses of preparing moulding sand ?
Ответитьhow do you keep the sand core from "floating" out of position when pouring the hot metal or does that not happen in casting with a core??
ОтветитьA question... How come the sand does not fall apart when the cope and drag are moved?
ОтветитьPeople hit thumbs down because they don't understand.. Looking for glitz and glam..
ОтветитьShrinkage?
Ответитьwhat type of sand is that? Where can I get some?
ОтветитьI found this play list. Binge-watching. Appreciate all of your work, Sir!
ОтветитьWhere can you buy the sand for casting?
ОтветитьThe mold must have some structure for holding the core in the correct spot. Is that right? You include that in your design?
ОтветитьLove to see people create with their hands!
Ответитьwhat is the black sand that you use for the block ?
ОтветитьThat must have been quiet a time consuming job, ramming that flask up. How will the metal flow around the core piece? I do not understand how that part works. What kind of sand are you using?
ОтветитьI also am stuck not knowing how to get our item into two halves.
We are replicating an eagle from the 1940's.
Any instruction for making the two halves as in this video would be so appreciated.
Amazing Work!!!!! Chris
Why don't you use the talc powder on wooden pattern so that the sand will not stick.
ОтветитьReally nice sand casting process video, thank you for your sharing.
ОтветитьExcellent video from one foundry man to another which primer would you recommend for cast aluminum that would be exposed to constant humidity environment. Thank you!
ОтветитьDo you have a website do you do custom work?
ОтветитьDecided to watch them from the start :)
ОтветитьHoping to start the metal casting. This will help me lot
ОтветитьSip
ОтветитьCan I have your permission to put voiceover narration on all your videos, once I’m as skilled as you?😂🇦🇺🤜🏼🤛🏼😎🍀🍀🍀🤓
ОтветитьVehicles passing sound like waves on a beach. Nice :=)
ОтветитьHello.
Thank god we have your channel sir!
Hello. How are you?? I need some help. What put inside to melting aluminum for perfect melting with no bubbles?
I know soda but I don't know how many . Thank you very much!!
Hello Master, I congratulate you for all the knowledge you have, and I thank you for sharing it. I have a question that I would like you to answer me. Could you make an aluminum mold to inject a piece of plastic? Thanks for your answer.
