Thanks for the video. I like the Neewer mount.
ОтветитьDefinite improvement for sure. And for your question, speak directly at the 'front' of the mic, meaning the volume dial/mute button should be directly facing your mouth. That is the
'front' of that mic and the condenser element is focused that direction more than other directions.
Thanks you saved me having to do the leg work of finding a Shock Mount that will fit a Samson Meteor Mic mayself. Just a recomendation for next time include a link to the product so its easy to find thx :)
ОтветитьAs you come to near the end of your video, the Meteor is in fact a side address microphone, not end address, as you have it mounted here. If you speak into the side where the volume dial is you will be getting the correct and best response 🙂 The response is cardioid (heart shaped) with the maximum sensitivity directed to the side where the volume control is, and the minimum on the opposite side, with medium sensitivity at any direction in between (ie at 90° to the main axis). Looking for a shock mount for my meteor so thanks for tests 👍
ОтветитьThe side isn’t the side, it’s the front. The headphone volume control and mute button are on the front of the mic.
Ответитьwith the Samson Meteor Mic can you take off the stands?
ОтветитьDug up my old Samson Meteor from a decade ago, which I could never set up properly with any shockmount. I'm gonna try it with the second shockmount in your video! Amazon still has those exact same shockmounts, but they're not branded as Neewer anymore.
ОтветитьThis video was helpful, thank you! big difference between the two mounts
