I live in the foothills of a mountain range nearby Mt Saint Helens> the PACNW,actually; but AnyWho I was in South Carolina for a few weeks and my son took a road trip up north went to Bucees truck stop, and didn’t even tell me I am so furious with him he could’ve brought me back a few things… The only Decour stores that we have left here, in our area is, the Home goods trilogy, hobby lobby, dollar store, walmart, and michaels….everyone else left this area or out of bsns nationwide!

My daughter is in marketing😂, and she told me that ‘SUMMERWEEN’ was an invention to do nothing other than for retailers to reap in halloween sales early> in the summer….June-August home decor sales sharply decline, As people go on vacations and do other summer things so summer Wayne was invented by capitalism they wanted to BOOST the sales IN a period of time that has very low sales.

I enjoy road trips too. I prefer them to flying. The quality time of getting to think and meditate while driving is just appealing to me. 😊

Love Halloween coverage. Heard that At Home is declaring bankruptcy. Also, Michael's bought Joann's. Target online has had some neat blowmolds...online only at this point. Cracker Barrel has a very big Haunted House blowmold for $150, wow, but it is the coolest if you like traditional old school Halloween. Thanks, Jackie and Sam! 😊💚

I wish we had space for another Spooky Town expansion! 🥲 Sadly I think we’ve come as far as we’re able to without taking over active dining space in our tiny little apartment…but that won’t stop us from doing a little Michael’s run to see all the Summerween goodies! Also can’t recommend the 11pm-3am Buc-ee’s experience highly enough - no crowds, plenty of parking, all the snacks 😎 We’re excited to follow along, wherever the summer roads of adventure lead you guys!

Man, do I envy your guises room trip? I miss it are used to do it all the time and now I have health problems and I have a lot of animals that I care for a lot of rescues so I can’t just leave them down but I am planning a trip to Orlando but I want to talk to summer and I am going to Salem Massachusetts in October and I cannot wait for that.! Just so you know, you can find a lot of cute stuff at the dollar tree in Town. A lot of the stuff reminds me of the stuff I can find at the dollar tree which is not a bad thing it’s just that Michaels is a bit expensive

Buc-ee's brisket sandwiches are the BEST! I'm taking a road trip in a couple of weeks and am very excited to get one. I'd say it's my top recommendation there too.

Loved the video. My wife and I have been together for only 17 years. In our young 60s. We started coming to Universal and Disney in 2012 and since covid we only drive down from Michigan. Have it down pat; 2 days of relaxed driving, check in to RPR mid-day. We love road trips together! We are inseparable, we run her business together out of our home. She's the only person I've ever known that I want to spend every moment with. Checking in to Helios for a week at Epic on 11/26!

Haha that Bucees is always busy in Fort Valley. My wife is from Warner Robins which is liberally 10ft from Bucees. You both have more will power than me. I have spent more on food and merchandise than actual gas when we have gone home to visit. Safe travels and see you in the parks when you get back.

Have an amazing trip! You’re inspiring me to get specific with my summer plans. Parks Canada has announced that all the national parks and historic sites they manage will be free through most of September, so I am psyched to do some visiting on the cheap!

👻 Looking at Halloween stuff is also one of my favorite things to do when it's time, we'll start seeing spooky things in August around here. The animal themed Halloween merch is cute, if I had extra money I'd have to buy a few😅

My Parents don't fly ✈, so when ,vacations in summer growing up, they would only drive to places. Stopping at truck stops and stuff along the way to our destination hotels. Anyway road trips can be fun, but as I got older I learned they can be dangerous too. After their divorce when I was 13 years old my Sister was 9 years old we got 2 summer road trip vacations 1 with Mom and 1 wih Dad, until I hit my mid 20s. We never been to a Bucees, we always stopped at old truck stops on old highways. Which was interesting stops. Some terrible stops. My Dad is a Big Truck driver, so he recommended old highways had less traffic and that's why we always took old highways, as time past they got spooky to ride on, because not many places to stop at, like they used to be.

Don't know which one you stopped at but if it was the Bucc-ees in Florence it's always packed. I stopped there back in April on my drive down to Florida, pulled in around 2am and it was like a damn night club inside. Also if you haven't tried it yet you have to get the Texas Brisket Cheesesteak Burrito, best hot item they have. And this is coming from a Philadelphian the cheesesteak capital.

I'm counting the days till my next brisket sandwich 🫶
