Is owning an event venue profitable?

Do you know much about events that take place on private property? Looking to have food truck events once a month. I have land in a residential area that's just a vacant lot. Do you need to do anything or can I have events and charge the food trucks small fees to have their trucks there. Thanks and hope to hear back from you.
