This used to drive my grandmother potty!! She couldn't stand the constant sound of tap shoes and the speed of it, at the age of 6 I couldn't get enough of it!! Joined an Irish dance academy and quit for a stupid reason, just because I was the oldest in the group

No one quite flies out of that stage entrance like Flatley does!

Brings a tear to my eye with regret that I gave up!! My teacher wouldn't let me have a pair of heavy shoes till I'd passed my exam!!! My dad said I only wanted a pair of these just so I could make a noise!

Michael Flatly is amazing! His presence is so powerful when he comes out. I’ve seen different versions of this and his performance is so powerful to me. Love it so much!

Michael Flatley, the man who is fleet of foot! When he makes that entrance with his sleeves billowing in the wind, he isn't just striding onto that stage. He is almost flying!!!

I used to watch this everyday when I was a little girl. I was 3 years old when they brought this on VHS. I used to try and learn the dance haha. I miss the 90s <3 This still amazes me to this day. The talent is mindblowing!

I remember when this was a hot ticket. It's astounding seeing Flatley move all over that stage with consistent energy and it exhausts me. Fantastic.

There was a DVD of the '95 tour with "Lord of the pants" before his ego forced him to leave the group. It was sold on PBS as a fundraiser item.

The hot blonde at the beginning(becomes the centre of the dance and lighting etc .....so clever and the hard hard work was so well together and put paid off in the end lol) 😍😍😍 8yr old me couldn't get enough of this...used to fantasize I was Michael...and even Jean ol !!!

So am I the only one who slowed it down to .25 speed in the hopes I could get the exact moves and was proven wrong?

Michael Flatley is a complex individual. Though he is sometimes described as a narcissist, his less rosy traits are actually more in line with OCPD. Unlike many true narcissists, he doesn’t have a reputation for shifting blame for his shortcomings away from himself. And while he is by his own admission a serial womanizer, there’s no real evidence that he has treated women poorly in general behind the scenes. The one real example that has seen the light so far didn’t add up under scrutiny.

Honestly the show wasn't the same after Michael Flatley and Jean Butler left the Riverdance. I still have my VHS tape of this show. Bought it after seeing this on my local PBS TV channel.

Gives me chills.

Nothing beats prime Michael Flatley. Not one dancer can hold a candle to him
