Great Review, almost a decade old. Amazing Grouping at 50 yards ,the last shot you pulled from the wind. I have a .22 Whisper Maxxim igt. Single break.I have been searching every website I can to find this one.Your vid gave me a good idea of it. Lately, im shoot 18.5 grain pellets. It is an amazingly powerful danger even?.

Mine was a complete piece of junk ya it shot pellets but not with any accuracy. Wast of time and money frustrating.

I still have 3 Gamo CF-X fixed barrel air rifles (two in .22, one in .177) that I converted to Theoben gas springs. I wish Gamo would come back with these rifles updated with gas springs. They shoot so much better with them. They're also upgraded with the original gold trigger (not the GRT guy). Their CF-R versions just didn't do it for me.

Would those harder, lead-free H&N pellets wear down my rifle's bore quicker?

The Gamo Swarm actually is not the world's first repeating break-barrel air rifle. I once bought one called 'The Stinger' (don't remember who the mfr was and it was 20 years ago), but it absolutely sucked, because the magazine wouldn't index correctly to the breech and it would never shoot correctly if at all. Glad Gamo finally came out with one that works.

The rail on the gun is junk. I woukd advise replacing with a picatinny and the scope.
Mine drives tacs now. And it is a .22

Shot group is all over the place. Shooting from a bench rest with a 9x power scope I expect better tighter shot groups.

"Longer lasting"? re: gas piston. How do you know that? How long have you owned it? Or how long have others reported that it is "long lasting"?

I thought my groups were bad with my .22 Swarm 10x. I feel much better now. Guess I'm doing something right. Thanks man, love the content.

Not bad review I geuss. I brought my Whisper Maxxim igt .22. It was the most expensive air rifle in the shop. Single shot break barrel using gamo match grade .22 pellets. One day being complacent I had an n,d, situation. The pellet went through 6 plaster walls and lodged into a skirting thank god for that. Anyway moral of story expensive, not quiet at all, and potentially deadly.

i got out to 73 yards tonight with my .22 gamo wildcat whisper. using my class 1 green laser light. was shooting a 8 FL OZ water battle. watching the pellet flying through the green light at 73 yards was epic and very satisfying.

With the increased popularity of slugs in the recent past I wonder if lead free slugs will become an item on the market and if they will be interesting performance and bc-wise

Nice job with the video editing. Nice to see the shot, the environment, the target, the pellet, the fps. That must have been a lot of work.

I have one of these. Has been quite deadly to local groundhogs, which are medium sized beasts up to an estimated 10 lbs. Only issue so far is that sometimes pellets fail to load. Have put about 100 pellets down range with it. Puts clean holes in a 1/2 inch board 40 yards from shooting position, in a small enough group to hunt groundhogs to the end of my backyard. I believe if I had more space to work with I'd still be deadly out to 60 yards. Shooting groundhogs at 39 yards has been less effective than 14 yards though. At 14 yards one pellet sometimes enough, once for an absolutely instant death with no flopping. At 39 yards usually a couple pellets necessary.

Do you have your chronograph setup at your firing position? I'd be very curious to see what the FPS of the pellets are when they reach their target. Would tell you allot about how much FPE you're getting when your pellets reach whatever it is you're going to be shooting at. Could be useful information.

Works great until you go to dump it

Just wanted to know, anybody can shoot with steady support. What I want to see is, shoot standing sitting without support and see how we hit the target. Lots of time we hunt will not get to get a good support to shot.

Out of the box, I centered mine to 40 yards, on a bench, standing without support aides can shoot a 2 inch group of five shots, neighbor, a gun nut, came over to give it a try, loved it. He bought one on sale and I can hear it most days. He told me after shooting this he has become a better shot with his rifles, and it costs pennies to stay accurate.

Shot 50 pellets out of my Umarex Octane and it leaked the gas out.
When they told me to pound sand, I bought a Gamo Swarm 10 shot and love it. Had the Umarex not broke I wouldent have the Gamo. I guess a blessing in disguise😁

At 25yrds not very good ..if goingbfor only velocity then a great video.. squirrels only count if head shot
