OSRS Skilling & Combat Are Receiving HUGE Changes

I'm afraid enrage won't work as well in osrs as in rs3. RS3 is more about making sure your abilities are off cooldown at the right time so you can block damage at the right time. I'm interested to see how they make the boss more difficult without just ramping up the damage/defence, because that won't be fun.

Idk man, I really don't understand OSRS players. I guess I'm just being very closed minded?
I'm Maxed, how on EARTH are people bored / think that we need new things. Its literally impossible to run out of things to do in this game.
I can't figure out if I'm just a boomer who thinks more does not equal better,
or if I'm correct and we should be a bit more frugal when changing/adding to this old school game we love.

There hasn't been an update that a truly didn't want except for sailing. Every other change I don't mind and either engage with it or don't. But I can't help but ask every time... do we really need this?

My fav part of the summit is just that the devs and community are still thinking of ways to improve this long-lasting game. But what I don't like is how some of these things just seem to hook you in to make you play more (e.g., the cosmetic changes for collection log) rather than to enhance the gaming experience. I would rather see reworks that make content more accessible and enjoyable to time-strapped players. The rework to motherlode mining was great and other minigames that came up over the years too (e.g., giant's foundry). But some still need work - why can't mahogany home contracts at least cover the cost of materials (at least if you run them from sawmill)? It'd be great for immersion if you can be like a gig "carpenter" doing mahogany homes if you could at least cover cost if not make a modest profit. RSN: Amen4ramen

really appreciate jagex toying with consumables that restore over time, ive been taking cooked pyre fox to basically everything now and i love it. it's so cheap but has the downside of having to wait for part of the HP and you can't eat multiple in quick succession because you lose the second restoration. i think it's a great addition to the food meta, and I really like that they're introducing a similar item for prayer. limited inventory space is a really unique element of OSRS and I think giving you more things to think about when you're picking how to use your slots is great.

Would be nice to have a tool belt that holds skilling items like wc axe pick axe fishing items etc on character

Rs3 this,rs3 that... new content is fun but osrs will turn into a 2d version of the runescape that we don't play for a lot of reasons

lol curse of arrav...sounds like setting it back up for original curse prayers where it ends at temple at senntisten. Not gonna lie, curses are why I got 99 prayer in the first place in old rs3 until they changed them during the combat update and made them ass. but original soulsplit and turmoil was so nice for pvm and pvp.

I like pretty much everything they have pitched. I think the game is moving in the right direction without overcomplicating things or having too much influence from RS3 mechanics.

Afaik enrage increase on rs3 was a random % ranging from like 5% - 50%

I tried playing this game but stopped around lvl 60-70 in most stats. This game just takes too long to progress in to be fun. Very sad.

I wish the bank value option was standard. Theres so many things runelite and those sort of 3rd party things do for us that we should be able to do built in game.... unless this already is a thing and Im just late on it. returning after almost 20 years
