This will destroy insurance industry. If a car does not crash and cant be stolen or vandalized .... You wont even need a drivers license anymore
ОтветитьWhat a load of delusional nonsense! Tesla's "robo-taxi service" is clearly a boondoggle designed to fool people into believing that Tesla has anything close to Waymo's capabilities. FSD (V13) is still stuck at a laughable 500 miles between critical disengagement, rendering it completely useless for autonomous driving. Serious companies wouldn't dare test it in this pathetic state.
ОтветитьMy wife and I have hit deer 2 times in 10 years and come close a few times, can FSD avoid deer?
ОтветитьQuestion. Would an FSD licensing deal actually work on vehicles from other manufacturers? The model X and Cybertruck are way behind on FSD progress. Why would Tesla be expected to license unsupervised FSD for others when their own models are so far behind? The large gap between model Y and the others is concerning to me.
ОтветитьLook the license is going to be like Microsoft Windows it will be ubiquitous
ОтветитьWinning Robotaxis :
1) Need to be safer than humans (< 40k deaths, 2.3M injuries)
2) Start with teleoperators in geofences
3) Winning tech is the one that is scalable & affordable
4) Must scale in volume and geography; highways to dirt roads
5) Requires machine learning AI and a Software Defined Vehicle
6) Adding sensor types adds huge compute and response time
7) Require robust Over The Air system monitoring and updates
As long humans are driving, there will always be accidents.
ОтветитьEven if a major oem adopted the tesla stack, it will take them years to put it into a model production.
ОтветитьThe Tesla economist turned out to be disguised. He really was Tesla Q.😂
ОтветитьHere in Kingston NY today, (6/13/2025) In a very large parking lot I spotted a new Tesla model Y driving toward me, when I realized there was nobody in the car. I followed it to it's owners who had "summoned" their car. Way cool!
ОтветитьIs it possible that the new lower-priced
ОтветитьIs it possible that the new lower price 3 and why are going to be cheaper because they're unboxed built?
ОтветитьUs HW3 owners have been kicked out of the Tesla family. Feel left out with all the revolutionary and historical things happening. We aren't a part of it anymore.
ОтветитьThe Genie is out the bottle…. No going back now.
Ответитьrip ice
ОтветитьThe reason there is still no licensing deal in the works may be that still no one else makes EVs profitably at scale 🤷🏼♂
ОтветитьThink of all the accidents you avoided by swerving, will robotaxi swerve or just slow down and wreck
ОтветитьDont sell to ICE. Bad mistake. We need to cut new sales ICE vehicles. Keep your gas hog. Eventually gas will be too expensive to run them because volume will crash.
ОтветитьThose who negative on Tesla s progress is either jealous or not believing in Elon s ability.
ОтветитьRUMINT says next Tesla project will be the Flux Capacitor 😊
ОтветитьWell grasshopper they cannot license when anyone else because no one else has it. Come on get real with your info.
ОтветитьElon knew , called FSD right. 💫♥️
Fun to find humor in not knowing. 😉
Understand NHTSA is announcing new policy, ease rules, supporting FSD. ✨
My main concern is just how much is the on going subscriptions to be paid every year. Or is it going to be a one time fee, the other issue will be as the car’s computers get older will spare parts and modal modules be replaceable or upgradable? Simply it is really a time to make these vehicles repairable as well. A well-made motor vehicle in private use can have a 30 or 40 year lifespan.
ОтветитьA society composed of only autonomous vehicles would change a few things. 1. Because of no accidents due to precision and accuracy they could probably travel at crazy speeds like 150mph. 2. No need for speed traps.
ОтветитьCurrently in China, the EV’s are being pulled off the road at the 5 to 6 year mark they won’t re-register them. However their technology and bill quality is nowhere near Tesla. The other issue I have with a Tesla is putting the computer screen in the middle of the car that was done on the 1950s plus no actual knobs to control functions within the car, not difficult to make them appear like a normal motor vehicle so my issue with even buying a Tesla is for God sake put a dashboard in the bloody thing? Putting the dash in the middle is saving money for them with the left and right hand drive but I’m pretty sure they can nearly make that dash plug-in play on any side of the vehicle and as I said have switches for basic functions on the car however possibly even the computer will take over all those functions legacy car starting to have those things nowlike your automatic lights wipers etc. Climate climate control.
ОтветитьCar sales are instrumental to funding all the R&D and developing FSD revenue stream and Optimus. It seems like you Uber-Bulls think car sales are immaterial. “FSD is solved. We can shut down car sales entirely. They are immaterial.” I don’t believe that. We need to keep sales strong.
ОтветитьTo whom do they license? Ford and GM sold a combined 200k EV in the U.S. last year. Hyundai only sold 12k ioniq 5 and 6 in the first quarter of this year. I thought Elon said they would only license to manufacturers who are making large numbers of vehicles.
Also, I would point out that roughly 150M ICE vehicles have been sold in the last decade, and probably another 70M will be sold by 2030. This upheaval, evolution, whatever you want to call it, is going to take way longer than you think.
YEAHH!
ОтветитьHerbert, of course all of the unique edge case situations discovered in Austin will be incorporated in all future FSD stacks, but that doesn’t mean Tesla is not going to go through the same process in each new city because each city has unique driving conditions and situations that may not exist in Austin or many others cities. Each new city added to the Robotaxi service will likely make this discovery process to go much quicker as all of the previous city’s edge case situations are added to the FSD stack which will reduce the number of new situations found in future cities.
ОтветитьIt has been suggested that when Tesla launches the Robotaxi service, the insurance for vehicles in the service may be covered by Tesla’s Product Liability Insurance, instead of personal liability car insurance. Product liability insurance is not based on state insurance regulations because most products are sold nationwide or internationally. When an owner adds their vehicle to the Robotaxi service, Tesla’s Robotaxi Service Product Insurance would take precedence or an individual’s personal liability car insurance which is regulated state-by-state. This may be the reason Tesla hasn’t expanded their personal liability car insurance coverage to other states for more than a year now.
ОтветитьLFG 🚀🚀🚀🚀🚀🚀🚀🚀
ОтветитьI just talked to an electrical engineer friend of mine who thought my Tesla was a hybrid. There’s an unbelievable information gap out there.
ОтветитьI agree with Josh as far as animosity from legacy auto having tried to reason with some people for many years.
ОтветитьThe reality of the situation is just now starting to sink in for me. I own a MY with FSD. SOMETIME SOON, MAYBE VERY SOON, IT WILL BE ABLE TO DRIVE ME AROUND UNSUPERVISED!
ОтветитьWas this recorded a week ago? It’s posted today but im hearing old news…
ОтветитьJust stay in Texas until you are maxed out then move on t😢a state that is user friendly
ОтветитьXander needs to stop smoking so many doobies while he's participating 😮. He brings very little anyway!
ОтветитьWhat is current waymo average waiting time?
ОтветитьMobil eye is auto driving cars with vision only …
ОтветитьI believe in Elon. Period.
ОтветитьHow about the Volvo EX40 recharge Ultimate with 8 cameras.
ОтветитьI bet that Tesla will. offer two types of rides at some point. Non-smoker cars and Smoker cars. Some people will smoke in the cars and it may be a turn off if the car reeks of old smoke.
ОтветитьI thought they were geofenced to a small area south of the Riverside Drive
ОтветитьExcept hook turns in melbourne australia
ОтветитьThe reason Tesla is starting with ten cars in Austin is to prevent sabotage. There's a game plan to stop guys like Dan O Dowdy.
ОтветитьHas someone done a deep dive analysis of the business case for OEMs licensing FSD? Does it make financial sense for them? I’m not sure if they can turn a profit since they have not seen demand for their EVs. They would have to go all in on their own EV robotaxi network. I’m not sure executives like Mary Barra have that kind of appetite for risk.
ОтветитьIn 2019 Tesla's FSD made me sick and upset, now I don't ever want to be without it.
