Please, revive this idea
ОтветитьWe saw this again before GTA 6😮
Ответитьthis is so cool, and very much a need
Ответитьi NEED THIS
ОтветитьI want that phone
ОтветитьSeems something framework would do
Ответить11 Years Later
Ответить2024 still waiting for this miracle phone 😢
Ответитьlightphone 3 probably got some inspiration there
Ответить2025 y nunca paso
ОтветитьLets bring back Phoneblocks!
ОтветитьNow the world needs this concept 😮
ОтветитьThe concept: 😊
The hardware engineers and software engineers: ☠️☠️☠️
Google bought them and proceeded to bury the idea deep into the ground; they were scared of the implication that these developers might make a product that rivals theirs
ОтветитьGoogle’s Project Ara, inspired by the Phonebloks concept, was canceled due to several key reasons. *1. Technical Challenges* – Creating a truly modular phone required seamless swapping of parts like the battery, camera, and processor, but early prototypes had reliability and performance issues. *2. Market and Industry Issues* – Manufacturers didn’t support the idea since they rely on selling new phones, and modular components don’t perform as well as integrated ones. *3. Low Consumer Interest* – Most users preferred slim, seamless phones rather than bulky ones with detachable parts. *4. Cost and Complexity* – Modular phones would have been more expensive due to custom connectors, software compatibility, and engineering challenges. *5. Google’s Shift in Focus* – Google moved its attention to Pixel phones, AI, and software-driven advancements, leading to the quiet cancellation of Project Ara in 2016. Although fully modular smartphones never took off, some ideas survived in *Fairphone* (a partially modular, repairable phone) and *Moto Mods* (modular accessories for Motorola phones, which also faded). Ultimately, modular phones were an innovative idea, but real-world technology, business models, and user preferences made them impractical.
ОтветитьGoogle can't make the phone more eco friendly but I can do that more easily than you thing
ОтветитьAfter 11 years I am still waiting for it
WHERE IS IT?
There was a lot of interest in the phone but google killed it.
ОтветитьThis could have been framework for phones
ОтветитьThe best idea out of this is the mass submission marketing tactic.
ОтветитьWE ALL NEED THIS
ОтветитьBut what if the base breaks?
ОтветитьI think Nothing Phone would be the best host of this concept 🔥 They should buy it from Google.
ОтветитьHonestly i’m sad that this phone didn’t make it to today
ОтветитьWhat you should do is remake the concept and put it for sale on your site
Let go of google, they are lazy, and greedy people.
Just- Like litteraly, take everything of your concept :
Screen upgrading, speed upgrading, camera upgrading, bigger storage unit, bigger speaker, better battery, Wi-fi and more !
For the phone you should select on your site how the user can choose the blocks they want.
E.G : You can choose between an old screen, making it so that it has edges lines, or just, a new screen, no edge lines !
But seriously dude, don't give up. Millions of people want it.
And think about the profit you'll earn !
...Please.
Just do it, continue your Phonebloks project.
Thank you for reading this
22 million people came and watched this video the market is there
ОтветитьThis is so good! It's like PC. But it's not happened and we still use disposable phones(
ОтветитьCrowd funding?
ОтветитьIs anyone in 2025?
ОтветитьI hope elon musk will make this project
Ответитьimagine this but bigger
Ответить❤ We need it. Our planet needs it. ❤
Ответитьare you aware of the tmobile patent from 15ish years ago that almost accomplishes the same? They later turned it into "hello moto"
ОтветитьWHY DID YOU SELL OUT
ОтветитьHow would this not just create more e-waste? You'll be constantly throwing out components in favor of newer, better ones.
ОтветитьIt's the big 25, and we need this!
ОтветитьAnyone in April 2025
Ответитьthis reminds me of phonebloks
ОтветитьWith current technology this is perfectly possible, However, no large company would invest in it, they need planned obsolescence to continue selling.
ОтветитьToday mark the year 2025 it’s sad that such great projects are dead
ОтветитьWhat if you dropped it is the blok gonna remove or what
Ответитьafter 11 years this still didn't come out :(
ОтветитьI was interested to make phone like this, hopefully InsyaALLAH,i was intrest to make handheld game for my children, but i don't wanna them to on internet (fully offline) unless they already high school
If they already high school i just need to change it so they can use the wifi/sim card mode
