How didn't it overheat you? Is it no longer an issue in Horizons? Every time I jump into a black hole/neutron star system, I always dread it'll fry me and my dozens of hours of exploring will be for naught.

I have always hypothesize that all decisions everyone had or wil make causes a parallel reality where another reality left behind was cause by another decision or event. Who knows.

From what we know it is not really like that. You generally get torn apart/ slow down in your own time frame more than anything else.

Elite Dangerous is a terrifying game for good reasons. I honestly want to start exploring the unknown.

A ship experiencing gravity distortions that intense would have long ago been ripped to shreds by the tidal forces of the black hole. If it were a super-massive black hole, the distortions would be far more gradual, and tidal forces would not kill you until you have entered quite a distance beyond the event horizon.

There must be a creator, This planet I call home is just right for life, there is no other place like it, the moon should not be where it is, but its there gives time and tide, who else could create such beauty, I'm not saying we are alone, because how can we be, there are more stars and planets in our own galaxy than there are grains of sand on earth and there are billions of galaxies. And dead centre of our galaxy is a massive black hole, scientists seem to think now that's why galaxies spin, I believe the stars are heaven and that's why we don't come back when we die. love the video

pity we cant really know how a black hole is really like weve seen alot of footage in movies and all but no one can really know what a black hole really looks like up close and personnal :/ so the engine makes it as best as it can with what the devs made available would be nice if the black hole would look like the one in interstellar tho as mentionned in previous comments fly dangerously cmdrs o7

Imagine actually being there yourself. This could make an ordinary person become permanently psychotic by floating over this vast, dark, empty suction of force surrounded by millions of billions of miles of colored sky with millions of stars that appear to be dancing around your field of vision as you are slowly consumed by this ancient and hungry beast.

So I don’t know much about this game, looks cool tho. Is it something like Eve Online?
How can you fly into a black hole. You’d be spaghettified before you even reached the event horizon, not to mention being fried by radiation. I saw some videos of players playing with neutron stars, that seemed liked they were a real danger, ship overheating..etc but this just shows someone cruising into a black hole like it was a trip to the corner store. It makes no sense.
